Founded in 1979, the Chester Clinic is a peaceful purpose-built centre with parking and easy access. We were the first professional natural health clinic in the region and are known as a centre of excellence. Attracting the very best practitioners we enjoy a continued reputation for high standards. Many people from all walks of life pass through our doors every year. We have many local patients and our reputation brings people from the South Coast, Scotland and even from overseas. Once we relied mainly on the NHS. You may remember when your GP could care for you and your family on a personal basis. Sadly the NHS can no longer meet all our healthcare needs. Apart from a shortage of time and personal contact, most doctors agree they are restricted in the help they can offer. Also, drugs and surgery carry risks and shortcomings that are well known by doctors and patients alike. This is one reason complementary and alternative medicines (CAM) have become so successful in recent years.

What Ailments Do We Treat?
We are a bit like a GP practice in that we see patients with just about everything so there are few health problems we have not encountered in the last 20 years. We have helped people with just about everything - mild to severe, chronic to acute. Most have experienced relief, a great many have been completely freed of symptoms, even after conventional care has failed. It is usually wrong to say”there is nothing more that can be done”. For guidance on your own situation you are welcome to contact our staff for help and advice.
Besides helping specific ailments we can help in maintaining your health even it you are not unwell. Relaxation, stress control and dietary advice for example will help you stay in peak condition and enjoy life to the full.
Corporate Services
The Chester Clinic serves local business needs in three main ways:
- We offer stress control and employee care services such as on-site-massage to major employers such as Shell, MBNA Bank, etc.
- Many senior people in business come to us privately for help with staying at their peak performance and avoiding stress and burnout.
- We have an impressive track record of getting key personnel back from illness - often after NHS and private hospital care have failed. Companies that have benefited include; Granada TV, Capital Bank/Bank of Scotland, Shell, MBNA Bank, M&S Financial Services, Corus, etc. We can offer a fast track service when appropriate.
Practitioners
Both integrity and proper qualifications are important. We check qualifications carefully but we also seek extra qualities in those wishing to work at the clinic - people who are personable as individualsa and passionate about the help they give. Many of our therapists are distinguished in their field, working as specialist lecturers, researchers or writers. All have an understanding of modern medicine appropriate to their therapy, all use a natural and holistic approach but will not hesitate to advise conventional care if needed.
Gift Vouchers
It is hard to find gifts for friends and relatives that will always be appreciated. For employers too, it can be difficult to know how best to show appreciation to key staff at Christmas or at other times. Gifts of chocolates or booze are not universally appreciated in these times of dieting and increased health awareness.
Just about everyone enjoys a little pampering. Having our cares eased away with aromatherapy, facials, remedial massage, Indian head massage or even a deep tissue detoxifying Swedish massage. For the even more adventurous we can provide gift vouchers for acupuncture and the more overtly “medical” therapies.
Vouchers are available for any of our therapies from £25 upwards. For every five purchased, we offer a free voucher. They may be given for a specific therapy or to entitle the recipient to a choice of any of the relaxation or bodywork therapies at the Chester Clinic.

Vouchers have to be used within six months and there is no cash refund value.
