Welcome to Sue Webster Colon Hydrotherapy
I trained as a nurse at King’s College Hospital, London. I then took a degree in psychology and sociology before spending five years teaching both subjects to nurses and university students. Still later I trained to become a minister in the Church of England. I worked in full time ministry for eight years. With considerable experience in all these fields I now continue my work caring for people as a complementary therapist.
I specialise in both Colon Hydrotherapy and Allergy Therapy. My aim is to empower you to understand your health and to equip you with knowledge, information and support to enable you to improve your health now and for the future.
Benefits of Colon Hydrotherapy
Do you want to:
Lose some weight and keep it off?
Get a decent night’s sleep?
Improve the condition of your skin and hair?
Find renewed vitality and love of life?
Sort out your bowel problems once and for all?
Colon Hydrotherapy could certainly make the difference
The treatment begins with a discussion concerning your medical history, lifestyle and diet choices and what you hope a treatment will achieve. The procedure itself usually lasts 30-40 minutes. During this time warm, filtered water is gently introduced into the Colon via the rectum. Gentle abdominal massage is then applied from time to time to encourage the water to soften any stored matter and remove it along with any gas or mucus that can be flushed away.
It’s important that your modesty and dignity are preserved at all times. The treatment does not hurt at all in the hands of a skilled therapist. After the treatment is completed, any significant findings will be reported back to you along with pertinent dietary and lifestyle advice. Sometimes, to aid healing or detoxification, herbal or dietary supplements may well be recommended.
What is Allergy Testing?
We are all unique individuals, not only in our looks and personalities, but also in our biological make-up. For this reason we all deal with our food and environments differently.
For example, some people cope with extremes of heat and cold better than others. So it is with food; one person can eat bread or pasta and feel fine but another might find they feel bloated, sick, and uncomfortable. Indeed these are only a few of the host of symptoms which indicate a sensitivity to one or more foods they regularly eat.
Allergy testing can detect the foods which cause these unpleasant symptoms, in order that they can be avoided.Nutritional therapy helps rebalance the body so that it can once again function at its optimum level; extracting all the goodness it needs from food in order to maintain a sense of vitality and health. Sometimes this can mean re-balancing the ‘friendly bacteria’ in our intestines which when functioning properly help us to digest and absorb nutrients from our food. Allergies can upset that balance and part of the testing procedure is to assess whether or not this has occurred.
How is it done?
I use muscle testing which is a simple and effective method of ascertaining which foods are causing a reaction in your body at any given time. It is a non-invasive method which detects allergies and sensitivities. The testing involves putting a test phial of food or environmental substance on to your body (usually a small area of your abdomen) and checking your muscle resistance. I can also test for nutritional imbalances
