Reflexology treatments tailored to your needs and delivered in a calm, relaxing environment in Hampstead, NW London.
By working various reflex points on the feet, reflexology can help to bring about a sense of well-being and balance to you. In turn this can help to stimulate the body's own healing mechanism making it more efficient when dealing with everyday stresses and strains.
Hand and Foot Reflexology Treatments
Treatments generally last 1 hour or 30 minutes but can be adapted to suit your timeframe and individual need.
The first time we work together will involve a general health consultation prior to treatment so please allow an additional 15 minutes.
Each ongoing treatment will require a short update on your health to review the treatments, reactions to the previous session and to check if anything has changed to either your health or general circumstances that could have an effect on the treatment.
Please be assured that any information given will remain strictly confidential.
Why Reflexology?
Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary therapy that applies pressure to reflex points on the hands and feet to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanism. Through a variety of techniques, reflexology will probe, stimulate and massage these reflex points which can lead to a number of positive outcomes for the client.
These outcomes may include:
- A deep sense of relaxation
- Reduced tension which can help improve circulation following improved blood flow
- Reduced stress due to relaxation and a more balanced emotional state
- Detoxification of the body through improved lymphatic drainage as any build up of waste is reduced and eliminated
- A return to a natural state of equilibrium known as homeostasis
All of the above can combine to leave you feeling re-energised as balance is restored and the body’s natural healing process is able to function at an optimal level.
About Me
I have been passionate about complementary therapies for many years – from the side of both therapist and client! Over time I have enjoyed a healthy number of various forms of massage, reflexology sessions, acupuncture and hot stone treatments in addition to some rather painful foot massage involving sticks on a beach in Thailand! All of which I believe have given me insight into what makes a good therapist and environment stand out from the rest.
As a reflexologist I have had the opportunity to work with clients experiencing a wide range of symptoms and conditions including:
Anxiety, Cancer, Depression, Fertility Issues, Headaches, IBS, Insomnia, Menopause related symptoms, Muscular Tension, Parkinson's Disease, Restless Leg Syndrome & Stress.
My decision to study reflexology is one that I will forever be grateful for. Initially I wanted to learn more about the history and techniques involved purely for personal interest. But as I progressed and experienced the positivity of clients and the joy of seeing people relax as a result of treatments I had given, my enthusiasm grew and I knew I wanted to build on my knowledge and experience. Hence Complete Reflexology.
In addition to reflexology, I work on a voluntary basis with Her Majesty’s Court Service. In a busy North London courthouse my life is opened up to situations, people and sides of society that I would not ordinarily meet. Whilst this may seem a far cry from being a reflexologist, some of the skills involved are similar, especially listening skills. I have learnt to really listen to what people are telling me, to read between the lines and to hear what is not being said as much as what is. These skills are important for me as a reflexologist as I listen to what my clients tell me – as well as what they don’t tell me, but their feet indicate.
I find that stepping back to look at the holistic picture and not rushing at the first answer that presents itself can be hugely beneficial to maximising the outcome from each treatment.
