Welcome to Cotswold Bodywork Therapies
I am Ros Ivison and I own and run Cotswold Bodywork Therapies.
You can benefit from a variety of therapies that I offer, including Structural Integration and Structural Bodywork, Orthopaedic Massage, Sports and Remedial Massage and The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™.
All of these therapies could potentially help you with various problems that you may have, from postural issues to generalised aches and pains, to specific back, neck and shoulder pain and tension, to digestive issues.
For therapy to be successful in the long term, your body needs to be understood as a whole, both inside and out. I will therefore, explore the causes of your condition with you and apply a spectrum of techniques to help address imbalances and prevent future problems. Each treatment will be tailored to your individual needs at that time.
As well as the above therapies, I am also offering a one hour full body, deep tissue massage, that includes advanced techniques as needed, to enable your body to let go at a deep level.
Later this year, I will be undertaking further study with Doug Heel, the South African physiotherapist, who has developed 'Be Activated', a method of muscle activation that utilises various reflex points in the body. This is very good and helpful for athletes, but also for others to ensure that your muscles are working as they should. I will be adding this therapy to my repertoire from the Summer.
