Do you ever wonder 'Is this it; where did all my dreams go?'
All of us can live a life rich in meaning and fulfillment. And there a times in life when that statement can feel unbelievable. Whether through relationship breakdown, illness, bereavement or just listening to the news; sometimes there are good reasons to question why we are here and where we are going.
Transformative psychotherapy and craniosacral therapy can offer the opportunity to rediscover the thrill of meeting a new day with energy and enthusiasm.
I bring an depth of experience from life and learning, and the confidence that comes from years of supporting people as they work towards discovering more fulfilling ways of living and loving. Having worked with families of murder victims, survivors of major disasters, and children suffering emotional, physical and sexual abuse, I am familiar with the needs of people recovering from trauma.
I have also worked extensively with people living with life limiting illness and disability
If you are interested in finding out more, come and see me. I'm happy to arrange a half hour meeting for free. I think it's important for you to find out if I am someone you can talk to, possibly about things you have never trusted another human being with. Besides, all the research on psychotherapy says it's the quality of the relationship between me (the therapist) and you that is the most important factor in a good outcome from therapy.
I am on the register of the United Kingdom College of Psychotherapy and of the Craniosacral Association (UKCP CSTA) and abide by their codes of ethics.
I also supervise Psychotherapists; Counsellors, Bodywork Practitioners and Complementary Health Practitioners.
What to expect
A session lasts an hour. If you decide that cranial touch maybe useful you will generally lie on a treatment couch. Under no circumstances will you ever need to remove your clothes, though loose comfortable clothing is an advantage.
I am used to working in a time focused way, and understand that therapy requires an investment of time and trust as well as money.
