Carol Hici is based in Muswell Hill, North London. I have taught Pilates since 2005 and I provide Pilates tuition for all ages and abilities. I teach matwork and also teach on all large apparatus - including the Reformer, Cadillac and Wundachair.

The beauty of Pilates is that it is ideal for people of all ages and abilities - it is flexible enough to be very challenging for those already strong, and yet gentle enough for the physically less robust.

Back, neck and shoulder problems The emphasis on strengthening your abdominal and back muscles and rebalancing the shoulder girdle and pelvic girdle in Pilates will help to alleviate any present back, neck and shoulder problems you may have and can help to prevent recurrence
Pregnancy, pre and post-natal In Pilates we teach specific exercises during and after your pregnancy. Pilates can help you to recover your body shape and tone, inside and out, after your pregnancy
Streamlining your body Pilates exercises strengthen and lengthen your muscles thereby creating a more slender body shape
Sports Injuries, rehabilitation and prevention Specific Pilates exercises can help you to speed up the recovery time of your soft tissue injuries and restrengthen any weakened areas you may have developed as a result of injury
Chronic Illnesses such as fibromyalgia, rheumatism or osteoporosis If you find more vigorous exercises like aerobics or weight lifting uncomfortable due to pain and/or weakness in your muscles and joints you will find that Pilates can be a more subtle way to exercise. You will be able to develop strength and stamina without placing excess strain on your body

QUALIFICATION DETAILS
Carol initially came to Pilates as a student of the method in the 1990's. In 2004 she left her job in the City to train to teach Pilates.
I am registered as a Level 3 instructor with the Register of Exercise Professionals - the regulatory body for fitness professionals in the UK.
I studied Pilates in the USA and gained a Masters in Pilates from The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado
Yoga
I studied over two years with the Yoga Academy and am qualified to teach yoga both in the UK and the USA.
I am a member of the Guild of Pregnancy and Post Natal Instructors - a non-profit making organisation which promotes the teaching of specialised pregnancy and post natal exercise.
