I believe conditions such as migraines, headaches, anxiety, hormonal imbalances, IBS, behavioural issues, to name but a few, are signals that we are out of balance on a deeper level. I take a detailed case history (the first appointment is usually an hour and a half for an adult) and I aim to make sense from all the different symptoms that you may be experiencing. I work holistically with you to raise your level of health and regain equilibrium
True homeopathic healing aims to restore confidence, promote creativity and help you to lead a richer and more fulfilling life. Very often we may become ill when we are stuck in areas of our lives. Transition is natural but can be difficult to work through and can manifest through physical and emotional symptoms including anxiety and depression. These life changes can include times of hormonal change such as Puberty, Pregnancy, Menopause and becoming a parent. Life changes also include redundancy, divorce, marriage, new job, leaving home, moving house and other major stress events in your life. I have 12 years of experience and I use a variety of tools to bring clarity and enable people to successfully move through these difficult times.
Many things may contribute to making us ill and out of balance, such as:- Stress, poor diet, unresolved shock or trauma, mental or emotional disturbances, unhappiness, depression and toxins from our food and the environment. In fact often it is a combination of some of these factors. Sometimes it may feel like ill health just came from nowhere – but often it is a slow trickle of many things accumulating over time and then just one last thing tips the balance between coping and illness.
I have a lot of experience in helping women and children using homeopathy and other methods of healing such as Energy Psychology like EFT and Matrix Reimprinting. I also have a Diploma in Nutrition and view a healthy diet as fundamental to any long term health plan.
I started to study Homeopathy 17 years ago and I have been practicing Homeopathy in Twickenham and Richmond for 12 years. I draw my clients from a wide area including, Teddington, Hampton, Hounslow, Ealing, Kingston and Feltham.
Since I graduated as a Homeopath from the London School Of Classical Homeopathy 12 years ago, I have been working with my clients to improve their health and keep their lives in balance and harmony.
Homeopathy for Children and their Parents
By virtue of homeopathy's gentle, non toxic nature it is particularly suitable for babies and children. Homeopathy treats the individual rather than the disease, so the homeopath needs to find out how your child, as an individual is experiencing his or her symptoms.
Whilst I do not diagnose or treat specific ailments, clinical experience has shown that once the body is rebalanced there is an improvement in many areas of health such as reflux, constipation, sleeplessness, emotional probelms, stress and behavioural issues.
The remedies used are prepared from many different substances including animals, minerals and plants.
Homoeopathy complements other kinds of treatment, and can be used at the same time as orthodox medicine.
Women's Health
I support women though the many stages of life - Pregnancy, labour, breast feeding, puberty, infertility and menopause. These are all transitional times and times when hormones are often causing havoc.
I have done further training in Infertility with Foresight and I am trained in the Liz Lalor Fertility Programme.
Homeopathy has been shown to improve menopausal symptoms including hot flushes, sweats, tiredness,anxiety, sleeping difficulties, mood swings and headaches by 81% in an NHS clinical trial in Sheffield. (Relton C, Weatherly – Jones E)

About Amanda Hughes
I trained at the London School of Classical Homeopathy from 1998 - 2002. I then went on to do a further 2 years post graduate training with Jeremy Sherr at Dynamis.
I have done further training in Infertility with Foresight and I am trained in the Liz Lalor Fertility Programme.
I also have specialist training as a Chrysalis Effect Practitioner - working alongside people with Chronic fatigue,ME, and Fibromyalgia.
I have a diploma in Nutrition and I am interested in the medicinal properties of food, and how making better food choices can impact on our health.
I use Energy Psychology techniques such as EFT and Matrix Reimprinting.
EFT – short for Emotional Freedom Technique, is a technique where you tap on certain acupressure points, with the aim of releasing trapped emotions and negative energy. This release often leads to a reduction in physical pain, or anxiety.
My previous working life involved teaching English at the British Council and being a Textile Designer Maker. I have two children so I have direct hands on experience in the complexities of raising children. I have lived and worked in many different countries including Hong Kong, France, Oman and Pakistan
