About Us
A Reiki Healing will reduce stress and promote healing, general balance and wellbeing. It has seen positive results across various conditions from headaches, period pain, burns, arthritis, gout, back and joint pains to broken bones and post operative recovery. It has offered remarkable results to sufferers of cancers and AIDS. Reiki can have significant effect on fertility issues and help to regulate menstruation. As Reiki is a natural form of energy healing, it is effective on adults and children alike, animals and plants. It is safe to use during pregnancy and will compliment the use of any other medicines.
Simon Belcher is a 9th generation Reiki Master specialising in traditional Usui Reiki. He is both an experienced healer and teacher, having clients and students both nationally and internationally. We have a friendly home-based clinic in Worthing and are also happy to visit you if this is more suitable for you. Simon also offers Life Coaching and Tarot Reading.
Where are we based?
We are located in Worthing just 10 minutes walk from the town centre and 5 minutes from the train station. Free on street parking is available. We are available for treatments Monday - Saturday by appointment.
Home visits?
We are happy to visit you at your home, place of work or any other suitable location. We also offer distant healing which can be given to any location. What is Reiki?
The word Reiki is Japanese and can be translated as universal energy. It was rediscovered in the late 19th century in Japan by Mikai Usui whose aim was to uncover the secrets of the Buddha’s ability to heal by touch, secrets, hidden in the Tibetan and Chinese Buddhist sutras that had been lost to the outside world for centuries.
Reiki is a gentle yet extremely powerful and effective treatment. The Reiki energy is channelled through the healer’s hands to work on an energetic level, balancing the receiver’s energy flow and helping to remove any blockages that may have developed. It is these blockages of energy that can cause us discomfort and emotional distress and over time cause disease and illness. Emotion is energy in motion, and it is the free flow of this energy that helps us maintain our emotional, mental and physical balance and wellbeing.
A Reiki treatment involves the healer placing their hands either on the client or within their energy field in specific positions. This may be done with the receiver either lying down or sitting. During the Reiki treatment the client remains fully clothed. Reiki flows through fabrics and materials, even plaster casts. Shoes, belts and jewellery should be removed.
Your treatment
When treating you, I prefer to intuitively asses your health both physically and emotionally. Through the use of a scanning method any blockages can be located so that treatment is focussed and relevant to you personally. There is plenty of time after the treatment to discuss whatever has arisen for you during the Reiki healing and for me to feedback to you anything that your body may have told me and share any insights with you and for you to ask any questions that may have arisen.
How often will you need treatment?
A single Reiki treatment can start to make a lot of difference and often can be all you will need to put your health and wellbeing back on track. For real and lasting change, we recommend a minimum of three sessions, ideally over three consecutive weeks. Further treatments at longer intervals may be recommended.
Courses
Reiki Level One (The Healer level) - learn to heal yourself
This level is essentially for self healing. During this day long course you will experience four attunements to the Reiki energy. Once you have received these, the Reiki healing energy will begin to flow through you giving you the gift of healing. You will notice a substantial increase in energy levels. You will learn the history and principles of Reiki as well as the basic hand positions for self treatment. We will spend time grounding and learning meditation. Time will also be available for practicing self treatment and we will look at some practical applications of Reiki at this level that can be applied in everyday life to promote positive change and improve the quality of your life. All students will receive a course certificate, a comprehensive manual and continued post course support.
Reiki Level Two (The Practitioner Level) - learn to heal others
This is a longer one day course during which you will receive two further attunements and learn the three symbols for healing others and distant healing. The intensity of the Reiki energy of level one is greatly increased in you and it’s affects on you, others in your life and your relationships will be noticeable. As well as your ability to help heal others, your own insight and intuitive abilities will become enhanced. Your journey of self discovery, development and self healing will be greatly accelerated leading to greater joy and abundance in your life. After these attunements you will have the keys to practice healing of others including animals and plants. You will also be able to send Reiki healing across time and distance. All students will receive a course certificate, a comprehensive manual and continued post course support.
Reiki Level Three (The Master Level) - learn to attune and teach others
This is a two day course in which you will receive a final attunement and be introduced to the master Reiki symbol and three further symbols which will give you the key to attuning others and creating abundance. You will receive your Reiki Master certificate and manual.
An introduction to Tarot reading
Either as a one day workshop or course over 3 weekly evening classes, this is an introduction to the understanding and use of the traditional pack of Tarot cards. Through an understanding of each card’s meaning and significance, combined with practices to hone your intuition, we will look at ways to use the cards both as indicators for possible future events based on current circumstances but also as a counselling tool in such matters as health, relationships, career and finance. Ideally you will bring a pack of cards.
