Types of Massage Available
Holistic Massage:
Holistic Massage treats a person's emotional and mental wellbeing, as well as their physical one. Everything about the client is taken into account at the time of treatment, from their medical history and any current ailments, to their lifestyle, sleep patterns, emotional mood and even how they feel at that very moment in the treatment room. All of this background makes an individual, and it is the individual that is being treated. There are no routines, only the right massage for the client on the day and hour of the treatment.
Deep Tissue Massage:
For clients who like deeper work, and particularly for those who regularly play sport, Deep Tissue Massage is an effective form of therapy. This massage works deeply into muscles to remove knots and tension. It is done with a Holistic touch, working slowly into the muscles for the maximum effect. Unlike many deep tissue treatments, it is unlikely to leave a client feeling bruised or sore the following day.
Pulsing:
This massage is done with the client wearing loose clothing. Every section of the body is rocked and vibrated in turn, causing movement in the whole person. It is a very deep treatment, as it affects bones and organs as well as muscles. It is excellent for anyone who wants a deep treatment, particularly for creative people who are feeling blocked, or for anyone who likes deep massage and is willing to try a new form of it. Pulsing can be known to have after effects following the treatment, ranging from extreme hunger or thirst, feelings of elation or anger, or unusual sleep patterns. These rarely last more than 24 hours.
Massage for Pregnancy:
Available after the first 3 months of pregnancy, this massage is designed to relieve tension in the back and pelvis as well as provide some relaxation for mums-to-be.
