Background
Ruth Has been a practising homeopath for 8yrs. She is a registered member of the Alliance and Registered homeopaths and a member of the Register of Homeopaths. She trained with London collage of practical homeopathy. She has been a director and full time Homeopath for the Swaziland homeopathy project in Southern Africa for 4 yrs, and remains a volunteer for the organisation.
The project is a charitable organisation which uses Homeopathy to holistically treat and support impoverished communities in southern Africa, mostly woman and children. The project places an emphasis on supporting individuals who are suffering with, or who are affected by the Hiv/Aids epidemic. The project is now training 7 swazi students in Homeopathic medicine, to continue the work of the project.
As a Full time Homeopath for the project, Ruth treated over 2000 patients mostly woman and children many of which suffered from severe immune problems and the opportunistic infections which are a result of Hiv/Aids, these include chronic respiratory problems, digestive problems, skin infections and rashes, sexually transmitted diseases, general fever, malaise etc.
As a result she has acquired an amazing experience treating immune problems with Homeopathy.
Since returning to the U.K in 2012, she has continued nurturing her interest in the treatment immune problems and now also places an emphasis on Allergies and other immune problems which seem to be more in context to the UK.
She is currently training with the British institute of Allergy and environmental therapy, which uses kinesiology and Homeopathy to test and treat allergies and intolerances.
Ruth also has a background in spiritual healing and has practiced a number of healing techniques for the past 12yrs and is currently training in African shamanic practises. She offers this as an additional support to her clients.
Description of Treatment
The word “homeopathy” is derived from two Greek words: homoios which means “similar” and pathos which means “suffering.” Homeopathy's basic premise is called the “principle of similar’s,” and it refers to recurrent observation and experience that a medicinal substance will elicit a healing response for the specific syndrome of symptoms (or suffering) that it has been proven to cause when given in overdose to a healthy person.
The beauty of the principle of similar’s is that it not only initiates a healing response, but it encourages a respect for the body's wisdom. Because symptoms represent the best efforts of our body in its defences against infection or stress, it makes sense to utilize a medicine that helps and mimics this defence rather than that inhibits or suppresses it. The principle of similar’s may be one of nature's laws that, when used well, can be one of our most sophisticated healing strategies.
It is important to note that immunizations and allergy treatments are two of the very few applications in modern medicine today that actually stimulate the body's own defences in the prevention or treatment of specific diseases, and it is NOT simply a coincidence that both of these treatments are derived from the homeopathic principle of similars.

Consultations last 60 -80 mins, and involve taking an extensive case history and using applied muscle testing (kinesiology) to test for Allergies and intolerances if required. Medicines prescribed at the end of the consultation.
