Holistic Therapies
Holistic Body Massage
Base oils are rubbed into different areas of the body using various massage techniques. This helps to promote increased circulation, release muscle tension and stiffness in various parts of the body. It is a good way to reduce stress and anxiety.
Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils extracted from flowers and plants. The oils have a therapeutic affect on the mind and body. This treatment is tailored to the client’s needs and helps to relieve stress, eliminate toxins and induce a deep sense of relaxation and increased well-being.
Hot Stone Massage
This massage uses ancient Basalt stones warmed in hot water and gently massaged over the client’s body with the use of oils. This massage helps to relieve tired, aching muscles and increase circulation.
Thai Massage
Thai Massage is strongly influenced by Yoga. This is seen in the passive stretching technique that is done by the therapist. This type of massage helps to balance the bodies Meridians, freeing channels in the body to encourage healing and relaxation.
Pregnancy Massage
Massage in pregnancy can help to prepare the expectant mother for childbirth. It also helps to relieve tension and fatigue that can sometimes comes with pregnancy.
(This treatment can only be performed after the 3rd trimester and if the client is well).
Reflexology
This treatment is a popular natural therapy that treats the whole body. It is based on the idea that the whole body and its system are reflected on the feet. Gentle but firm pressure is applied on various reflex points on the feet to help assist in clearing blockages and prevent toxic build up in the body.
Hopi Ear Candle Treatment
An Ear Candle is safely burned in the ear canal. This is then followed by a gently face, neck and head massage working particularly on the sinus areas of the face. This treatment is particularly effective for headaches, migraines, excessive or compacted earwax and snoring or just as a form of relaxation.
