Sugaring
History of Sugaring
Sugaring is an ancient Arabic form of hair removal, where a paste, made of sugar, lemon juice and water, is applied to the skin and flicked off. This effectively removes the hair from the root.
Sugaring began hundreds of years ago in the Arabic countries. Women at that time did not have the soaps and deodorants we have today, but they found that by removing their pubic and underarm hair they could stay fresher and cleaner. So they developed sugarpaste.
Sugaring was so successful it became completely embedded in their culture, and still to this day in some Arabic countries as soon as girls reach puberty they are prepared for marriage by being sugared from head to toe. All their bodily hair is removed, apart from their eyebrows, eyelashes and the hair on their head! They are then regularly sugared, to maintain themselves hair free, until they reach the age of about 30, when they find they no longer grow any hair!
Sugaring was brought to this country in 1984 by a Tunisian lady who came to live here and was amazed to find that there was nobody available to sugar her. She started to train people in this ancient technique, and hence sugaring in the UK was born.
3d Hand and Feet Castings
3D Casting is the ultimate keepsake – it captures all of the detail, in a life sized replica, of a baby’s hand or foot.
They can be framed, mounted or free standing and finished in a variety of effects.
You can also have an entwined hands cast done which can be 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child.
The castings can be done for the following occasions:
Births, Still Borns, Children of all ages, Birthdays, friendships, engagements, weddings, confirmations, anniversaries or terminally ill or any other occasions that you can think off.
Pregnancy Massage
Massage is renowned for it’s beneficial, therapeutic and relaxation benefits. It can be delivered safely throughout all stages of pregnancy after the first trimester. Regular massage can help prepare you for a smooth delivery of your baby.
This is a delightful pamper for both you and your baby. Including:
Foot Scrub; Back exfoliation to a full body massage with your baby bump massaged with warm chocolate and finishing off with face and scalp massage.
Belly Casting
During the last four weeks of your pregnancy we can take a cast of your baby by painting on a special hospital grade plaster on to you, dried and gently lifted keeping all your exact contours.
The cast can be off your baby bump or your torso. The baby cast can be decorated and filled so your baby can lie in during the first few weeks.
It is a perfect way to keep your baby relaxed and comfortable.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy uses essential oils taken fro natural plants, flowers & shrubs. They are used in conjunction with a body massage to relieve stress, enhance health & well being & supporting the healing process.
Some of the benefits include increasing your metabolism, enhances the removal of toxins, increases muscle & joint mobility, Aids relaxation by calming the nervous system.
Reflexology
This treatment is to treat your mind, body and spirit by applying pressure to the reflex points on your feet. (Ticklish feet will still enjoy)
Some of the benefits of reflexology are the releasing of endorphins & serotonins to lift your mood & kill pain naturally, more flexibility of joints especially your neck and shoulders.
