Welcome to Jules Therapy
My name is Jules Marshall, I am an experienced Psychotherapist and Counsellor, based in Carmarthenshire. I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups.
I can help with: Anxiety, Panic attacks, Stress management, Depression, Relationship problems, Family Problems, Self Esteem, and many other issues that may not have a distinct label. If you are, or know someone, who is suffering I am happy for you to contact me to discuss how I may be able to help you, before making an appointment. I am interested in discussing any problem you may have so we can work together to resolve them for you.
My Therapy room is easily accessible in Llandeilo where there is parking close by.
Our Therapies
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is an opportunity to look at yourself and how you are with the world in a safe, confidential environment. As a therapist I am there to facilitate awareness of your options and possible choices in a supportive way.
The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to discuss your needs and to make a decision about whether we wish to work together.
If we make the decision to work together then a confidentiality contract is agreed before the start of the therapy.
The sessions will usually take place in Llandeilo and will last for 50 minutes. Sessions will usually take place on a weekly basis, the total number of which will depend on your individual requirements.
I also offer telephone counselling and therapy via the internet if applicable.
Couples Therapy
Relationships with others, particularly within marriages and partnerships, is something we all have problems with at some point in our lives. There may come a time when the issues appear to be so overwhelming that a solution seems to be impossible. The ability to relate effectively is of vital importance to all of us. Couples therapy is an opportunity to discuss issues such as conflict, family stress, unmet personal and relationship needs in a 'neutral territory' with an unbiased observer who can provide feedback and information coupled with confidential and non-judgemental support.
Sessions usually last 90 minutes and will take place on a weekly basis, the total number of which will depend on your individual requirements.
Group Therapy
What is Group Therapy?
A group of people that come together with a Group leader who acts as the facilitator and provides an environment that is both supportive and challenging. Transactional analysis was originally practised as a group therapy as its emphasis has always been on understanding interactions.
What are some of the advantages of Group Therapy?
Groups generate a social environment in which clients can benefit from each other’s work, which may then enable them to gain insight or may trigger other issues for them.
There is also a large financial advantage in Group therapy. The cost of the sessions will workout to an hourly rate which is a 1/3 to 1/4 of the cost of individual therapy.
Guided Imagery
Finding a way to relax and escape the stress and anxieties of life is difficult to do.Guided Imagery gives you a means of doing that...for the length of the session and also gives you the techniques to do it for yourself at a later date. During the sessions we make a journey of self discovery. Sharing as much or as little as we feel comfortable. I provide a basic, hopefully appealing and relaxing image for you to explore. I will be your guide but what happens, what route you take and how high you fly is limited only by your imagination.

The Guided Imagery Group is an open group (not all the same people may be there every time) and is held in my therapy room in Copthorne.
Past themes have included; the beach, the rainforest, japanese bathtime, flying, dreamtime and many more.
Workshops
Therapeutic workshops are based on a theme and designed to explore particular issue connected to the theme. The aim is to explore personal issues within a group setting in an experiential way. Safety is paramount and Jules is happy to take time prior to the workshop to discuss how any particular workshop that appeals to you may be relevant and how it may be of benefit. The workshops are open to both existing, previous and non clients. (If non clients, a discussion with Jules prior to the workshop is obligatory).
