A definition of what the mind is or is not probably won’t help you here, if all you know is that you are unhappy. Being unhappy can seem like such a complex state that the idea of returning to happiness – yet alone realising that’s what we want, may seem very far away if not impossible. When you feel this way, having someone tell you how easy it is to achieve happiness again can feel patronising – that the person saying it has no understanding of what you’re going through. All the truisms of ‘Time heals’, ‘Being happy is your natural state’ can even appear limp, unhelpful; almost insulting.
Which is why we won’t assume to know how best to help you until we’ve spent time to listen and understand more about you, before suggesting one or several of the options below.

Body
General fitness training works towards broad goals of overall health and well-being, rather than narrow goals of sport competition, larger muscles or concerns over appearance. A regular moderate workout regimen and healthy diet can improve general appearance markers of good health such as muscle tone, healthy skin, hair and nails, while preventing age or lifestyle-related reductions in health and the series of heart and organ failures that accompany inactivity and poor diet.

Spirit
The context in which we use the topic of Spirit (from Latin, spiritus meaning “breath”) is that of relating to a non-corporeal substance contrasted with the material body. The spirit of a living thing usually refers to or explains its consciousness. The notions of a person’s “spirit” and “soul” often also overlap, as both contrast with body and both are imagined as surviving the bodily death.

About us
Angie's 20 year career had been in the social care sector, as both a practitioner and a manager of services for vulnerable adults, children and families. Throughout this period she feels she gained a greater understanding of human behaviour, dynamics and relationships (both external and internal) and how complex they can be. She has learnt first hand how we are all influenced by our background, our environment, our self-limiting beliefs, the fear of others, and the influence of those with whom we come into contact, some of which may prevent us from developing our true and happy self.
She is a Reiki Master / Teacher and our treatment rooms afford comfort, peace and a retreat to de-stress for her clients.
A qualified NLP and EFT Practitioner and Hypnotherapist, Paul understands that although we have what’s necessary within ourselves to rediscover who we really are, we can all get distracted by our environment and the very pace of life from using that resource. Using a variety of strategies, he will work with you to help you get your life back on track, while you enjoy your personal development.
For most of his working life, he has worked or volunteered with various, unfunded UK agencies.
In work, he has spent more than 3 decades in IT, exploring how logic and methodology can benefit businesses, specialising in Business Intelligence, working for UK industries and American Corporations alike.
Away from that arguably sterile environment (although not entirely the case, since we mostly share our work time with others) he has found balance in giving time to helping those less able to protect themselves.
Outside of his career, the last 15 years has seen him focus on volunteering for a National charity, whose principle aim is to help people improve people’s emotional health and rediscover the value in their lives.
Alongside that, he has studied techniques to directly help people better enjoy their lives and find fulfilment both in work and play.
