Relieve Tension headaches that can be caused by Myofascial Trigger Point pain instead of taking pain killers.
Get relief from the Sciatic nerve pain which can be caused by a tight Piriformis muscle.
Relieve burning and chronic shoulder pain caused from sitting for long hours at a desk or computer.
Strengthen your muscles by addressing the Trigger Points and Fibrous Scar Tissue which is stopping you from reaching your optimum performance and feel the difference remedial massage can make.
Many people get results from soft tissue therapy for muscle pain when they were close to considering more drastic measures such as surgery, steroid injections or nerve blockers. Due to the nature of this type of body work being more detailed and spending more time on specific areas, it is not a full body treatment.
Get Pain Relief From:- Frozen Shoulder
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Piriformis Syndrome
- Lower Back Pain
- Neck & Shoulder Pain
- Whiplash Injury (Post-Acute Stage)
- Tennis or Golfer’s Elbow
Although this type of body work can be deeply relaxing the receiver will play more of an active role working with the therapist as they work in tune with the body helping areas of tension to release.

Reiki Energy Healing
Universal life force energy flows through all living things. When there is a disruption in the flow of Ki energy this can lead to imbalances and disease. Reiki helps release these blockages restoring balance to our physical, emotional and spiritual self as a whole. It also acts as a catalyst for change helping us make shifts necessary to remove blockages in our lives enabling us to move forwards to new lessons and chapters in our lives. Reiki is of an intelligent source and so goes to the root of the problem. It is not the practitioners’ job to direct the energy love and light but to be a channel for it letting it flow to where it is needed.
Why Choose Reiki
People are drawn to Reiki for many different reasons. We all have areas in our lives and in ourselves that are in need of healing and Reiki is a good way of going about this. It is available to everyone whatever Religion or faith you come from. Some people feel drawn to become Reiki Practitioners themselves. Reiki is one of the only treatments you can do by yourself to yourself. Having a Reiki Treatment is a very relaxing and nurturing experience, which is beneficial at all times even if you have no problems at the time as it rebalances your chakras and energy systems within the body and brings positive outcomes. Reiki can do no harm to a person although sometimes as with any healing process, a healing crisis may be experienced bringing some unpleasant symptoms but this is only temporary and will quickly clear with beneficial results.
A Nurturing Experience
A Reiki treatment usually takes an hour and is carried out with the person fully clothed, lying down on a couch. If this is not possible it may also be given with the person standing or seated in a chair. The practitioner will place their hands gently on or just above the body in different positions coinciding with the energy meridians and chakras of the body. Usually deep heat or a cool feeling can be experienced from the practitioners ‘hands. A deep state of meditation or sleep is common during a Reiki treatment. Some see colours as they shut their eyes while others have insight and information coming to mind about some problems they may have been experiencing, bringing resolve to their situation.
About Melanie
I am Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist and Reiki Master with a passion for body work and natural healing.
I have been interested in Holistic methods of promoting health and wellbeing for many years. My interest arose when I started to learn about Reiki Systems of natural healing. I was naturally drawn to the idea that we have the ability to heal ourselves and took my first degree Reiki that year in 1999 with Rowena Beaumont. I went on to become a Reiki Master in 2002.
Following a natural inclination towards massage I started to learn about this underestimated form of therapy. When I started my journey as a body worker, I didn’t realise the extent of the positive effects soft tissue work can have, both as a preventative and remedial treatment in assisting us to stay pain free and mobile.
Having suffered myself from chronic and acute myofascial pain over the years a regular massage from a good therapist has assisted me to stay pain free and in control of my well being. My own body has been a great teacher, allowing me to experience the positive effects and relief a good massage can bring to chronic shoulder pain and occasional hip pain which could easily if left untreated (and if I hadn’t known better) may have been misdiagnosed as arthritic pain.
I studied with the JING Institute of Advanced Clinical Massage, who have won many awards for their work and dedication towards their teaching. I am dedicated in continuing to progress in my work and develop my knowledge and skill set to offer the best treatment possible.
It is a great feeling to be able to assist people out of pain and to help relieve the stress of everyday life.
