Welcome to the Buteyko Breathing Centre incorporating AsthmaCare UK, the oldest established UK Buteyko clinic. On this site you will find information on the Buteyko Method, our courses, and how to contact us. The Buteyko Method has been extensively medically trialled and proven to be a highly effective drug free Asthma treatment, and effective in mitigating the symptoms of all breathing related illnesses. In the 1950s, Russian medical scientist Dr Konstantin Buteyko identified over 150 disorders which can be resolved by normalising the breathing, and he developed a series of breathing exercises and strategies to do this.
About Us
Linda Meads is an asthmatic who learned Buteyko to control her own Asthma symptoms after hospitalisation with severe Asthma in 1999. Following training with Russell & Jennifer Stark, two of the original founders of the Buteyko Breathing & Health (BIBH) she has successfully taught the Buteyko Method to over 1000 people world wide.
Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Emphysema, Hayfever, Allergic Rhinitis, Panic Attacks, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Stress Management, Breathing Excercises, Asthma Treatments are a few examples of conditions which the Buteyko Method can relieve. Buteyko is also an extremely safe and effective holistic treatment for snoring and Sleep Apnea. The Buteyko Method involves taking no additional medication and can be safely used by people over the age of 3 years.
