Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into points on the body which have been proven to effect the body's energies and its ability to function optimally.
It is a system of medicine that has proved itself over thousands of years. A combination of particular points are chosen according to a diagnosis based of the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
A full health questionnaire and history of your particular condition will be taken along with examination of your tongue and your wrist pulses.
Treatments last an hour and generally tend to be weekly although this will vary depending on your specific symptoms and degree of illness or discomfort.
Other traditional treatment skills are often used alongside acupuncture such as vacuum cupping, Gua Sha massage, moxibustion as well as advice on diet and lifestyle.
