Maresfield Chiropractic Clinic
Situated in the centre of the quiet village of Maresfield on the edge of the Ashdown Forest between Crowborough and Uckfield.
I established this clinic in 1994 and many of my clients have remarked on it's welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
I treat people from all walks of life from office workers, using a keyboard all day, to builders and rugby players. The refined McTimoney chiropractic technique I use makes my treatment suitable for people of all ages and states of health, from young children to senior citizens. Whether your problem has no apparent cause, arises from an accident, sporting injury or you just feel you need to improve your mobility, I can very often help.

About me
Patrick Layen DC. (Doctor of Chiropractic)
I graduated from the McTimoney Chiropractic College in Oxford in 1992. I am a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association (MMCA) and am registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) which is the statutory body set up by Act of Parliament in 1994 to regulate the Chiropractic profession in the UK.
I have been a passionate believer in chiropractic treatment since my mid twenties when after a serious back injury I first received treatment, enabling me to return to enjoying a normal life. I am a keen sportsman and still manage to maintain a reasonable golf handicap, so I have an empathy with clients who come to me with various sporting injuries. I also have a qualification in remedial massage which they find most helpful in my overall treatment of them.
Also available at my Clinic I have a medical grade device for spinal manipulation called a Mobiliser as supplied by Back in Action. The system applies very localised pressure to the muscles on either side of the spine giving a deep effective massage, relieving tension and stress. I do occasionally use this as part of my treatment, but most people prefer to come on a separate occasion for a full massage.
