Maxine Rigby Reiki is based in Altrincham, Cheshire.

In this high paced world, I am particularly interested in helping you deal with the stress that everyday life now exerts. Treatments are available in the comfort of your own home (within a 30 minute drive of Altrincham). I am fully insured for all therapies undertaken.

About Maxine

My name is Maxine Rigby and I live in Altrincham.

Although I now work with a number of holisitic therapies I spent 23 years working in the IT industry, and so I truly understand the stresses and strains of working in todays business environments. Indeed, during my later years within IT I suffered from chronic stress and understand the impact it can have on you.

I have been fortunate enough to change direction completely but also understand that not everybody is so lucky. I am now passionate about helping you deal with the stress of modern living through the therapies I offer.

Services Include

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word representing Universal Life Energy (Rei = universal, Ki = life energy that flows through every living thing). A Reiki treatment is a hands on treatment. The person receiving the treatment will lie fully clothed whilst the practitioner's hands rest gently over various areas of the body for a few minutes at a time. Reiki works on mind, body and spirit and as such is a very relaxing treatment. It is excellent for relieving stress.

Hopi Ear Candling (or thermo auricular therapy)

A natural and relaxing treatment used traditionally by the Hopi native Americans. The treatment is excellent for anybody who suffers with excess ear wax, sinusitis or general blocked sinuses. The ear candles are hollow and when lit and placed in the ear, gently massge the ear drum and draw out excess ear wax via a chminey effect. The treatment is painless and actually very relaxing. This treatment is best when used regularly and may not be effective immediately for deteriorated conditions.

Indian Head Massage

This is part of the Ayuverdic system of healing which works on mind body and spirit. The treatment includes the back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face using deep thumb and finger pressure, effleurage and friction movements. It is excellent for treating tension headaches, neck and shoulder stiffness, scalp tension and stress.
