I offer a complete lifestyle package – personal training, injury recovery, nutrition, pilates, boxercise, core stability workouts and realistic weight loss programmes - to mention a few - where and when it suits you in the East Berkshire, South Bucks and South Oxfordshire area.
Including Marlow, Maidenhead, Windsor, Burnham, Ascot, Henley and Beaconsfield.
I pride myself on putting the 'personal' into personal training. When you contact me, you will talk directly to me and I'll be with you every step of the way.
I don't have a large organisation, I don't have a call centre handling my calls, I talk to you myself, I design your totally individual programme, and I deliver it – personally!
I pride myself on putting the 'personal' into personal training. It's vital that you feel comfortable with your personal trainer and I work on the basis that encouragement is better than intimidation. I come to your home, your office or your local park and I bring with me all the equipment you need for a great workout.
My Story I was an overweight, under-exercised asthmatic 12-year-old, low on energy, self esteem and confidence.
It was then I discovered rowing and a fantastic coach and within a year I was confident, fit, active and competing.
By the time I was 17, I was aiming for the junior Great Britain rowing trials when I was diagnosed with ME. At this stage, driven by my desire to understand my illness, combined with my passion for sport, I started studying sport science at A level and then carried it through to degree level. By the time I was 22 I had fully recovered from ME and had gained my BSc (Hons). I decided to create a career for myself which would encompass all I had learned from my studies, my personal experience and my natural inclination to help and support people.
For 18 months after I left university I travelled around Australia and S.E Asia while maintaining my interest in fitness. I worked as a fitness instructor in Sydney and studied the art of Muay Thai (kick boxing) in Thailand.
On my return to the UK, I started working at one of the major health clubs as a fitness instructor. I was rapidly promoted to fitness manager where, while I learned a lot, I was also constrained by corporate guidelines and had to conform to standard company programmes. Feeling restricted by not being able to offer my services and knowledge on a one-to-one basis, and seeing that clients weren't always achieving their full potential, I set up my own business. Now not only am I a lot happier and more fulfilled but, more importantly, all my clients are as well.
How I Work Currently my youngest client is Harry who is 11 years old and my eldest is Eileen, who is 71.
And just in case that makes it seem as if I only train children and female senior citizens, I'd better add that I also train young professionals, mums, athletes, body builders and middle-aged business men & women, in fact anyone who needs support and encouragement with health and fitness.
Everyone has different needs when they come to personal training and when we first get together we will spend time understanding yours. This part of the service is completely free and gives you the opportunity to decide if I'm the best personal trainer for you.
If we feel we can work together, I then go on to design an exciting and exhilarating programme which is specifically created for your individual lifestyle, health, fitness and ability. My programmes are based around functional exercises incorporating postural awareness with a strong emphasis on correct and safe technique. I bring all the equipment you need for an effective and enjoyable workout, all you need to do is show up!
I am a fully qualified, fully insured, experienced personal trainer. So whatever your goal, I can help you achieve it.
