How can NLP help you
Because our life experiences are completely unique we all hold what is known in NLP terms as a map of our reality. In other words we have collected information as we have gone through the Adventure of life, we store vast amounts of information within our neurology. What's really fascinating is The Map is not the Territory.
One of the most interesting things about our mind/ nervous system is that it's not that fussy about what it learns. So when certain behaviours begin to stop us from what we want to achieve, this is where NLP can help you to create new patterns of thinking, which creates new Neuro Networks. New patterns of thinking, New patterns of behaviour = Different Outcomes.
NLP helps with;
- Weight Management
- Relationships
- Confidence
- Stopping smoking
- Presentations
- Phobias
- Exams
- Traumatic memories
- Enriching Communication
- Healing guilt and grief
- Achieving goals for a compelling and brighter future
How can Hypnotherapy help you?
Hypnosis is a natural state that we all experience as we go through the adventures of life. When we go into trance our conscious mind is aware of the surroundings most of the time, our unconscious mind is aware of its surroundings all of the time.
When we consider that there is something that we would like to improve about ourselves, these considerations come from the unconscious mind, which then make their way to the conscious mind, so then we can take some action to make those changes. When you are in trance / hypnotized you are neither asleep nor awake.
We all have experienced day dreaming with those pleasant feelings of relaxation.
Cliff Partridge
When I left school I found I had a passion for music and art, but I needed to find a real job, that's what every one kept saying. After all kinds of different jobs I became a trainee carpet fitter and within a few years I had a very successful business. Life was good and it was just another day's work, when suddenly, my world turned upside down. I had slipped two discs in my back. Within six months, everything I owned, and I mean everything, had gone.
My back was slowly healing and within a year I was back at work. Business was booming. I had a contract with Debenhams of Oxford Street. Once again life had taken a turn for the better. I bought my own place on the Isle of Wight where I would visit at weekends - and I could still afford to rent a place in London. I felt life couldn't get any better... I was wrong. It was time for a change. After I came out of hospital a few weeks later I went to see my osteopath. He told me, in no uncertain terms, "Cliff. Take a year off. You can afford it. Let your body heal itself and then if you still have the need to work yourself into a hole in the ground, go ahead." What did he know? I took three months off work to recover. I was young and money was very important to me, much more than my health. The pattern of work, pain and recovery repeated itself. Once again I was in hospital. A serious time out was needed.
On my 30th birthday, I made the decision to leave London and move down to the Isle of Wight. After living on the island for six months, a date was set for an operation on my back. Two years later I was still on the mend. Out of nowhere appeared the love of my life, Sandy. She still makes me laugh, twenty years and four children later. Then I did something quite ridiculous. I opened a carpet shop, going back to the only skill I ever had. My back went again. This time it was very serious. Unable to walk for several months, at last I learned something. I didn't need to be a carpet fitter. I didn't need a carpet shop and I didn't need to work so hard that I would end up permanently disabled. At this turbulent time in our lives, my youngest son's conduct was causing some concern. I was asked by the school if I would be interested in something called NLP that could possibly resolve his disruptive behaviour. Once again, my life was about to move in the most profound direction of all. Spending another month on my back, I was told by two surgeons I needed yet another operation. But how would I cope? 42 years old, married with four young children and physically useless.
The answer was right in front of me, thanks to my son's behaviour that had, incidentally, led me into this incredible journey of NLP and hypnotherapy. I was introduced to Fiona Hardy, an amazing lady who explained how (Neuro-linguistic-programming) NLP / Hypnotherapy helps you to create new possibilities. My life changed on that day, and everything made sense. After removing the self-doubt I had been carrying with me from my school days using NLP / Hypnotherapy techniques, I started to see myself in a new light. Now at 53 I look back at myself and I can see the transformation that's still taking place to this day.Now having a practise in Southsea and a practise in Farnham and Petersfield this has given my even more opportunities to expand my skills as a NLP Trainer and a Master Practitioner. Our attitude towards any subject will always be the key for the result we want. For me the sense of adventure towards knowledge is stronger now then ever.I
