About the Therapist
Sally Barr RGN, Dip H Ed Nursing (Distinction), Dip CH, MIPCH
Sally has been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years and has nursed in many different fields of practice, both in Scotland and South Africa.
It was while working in operating theatres and a colorectal unit that she became aware of the many bowel and digestive problems and associated symptoms that patients experience.
During research into the cause of these problems it became evident that colon hydrotherapy, along with some lifestyle changes, is an excellent therapy to help prevent and treat many of the health problems that are prevalent in our world today.
Sally trained at The Scottish School of Colon Hydrotherapy and gained her Diploma in Colon Hydrotherapy.
About Colon Hydrotherapy (COLONIC IRRIGATION)
Colon Hydrotherapy (Colonic Irrigation) has been practised for thousands of years in ancient Egyptian, Greek, Chinese and Indian civilisations.
Following a consultation, which takes around 15 - 20 mins on your first visit, the colonic itself takes about 30 - 45 minutes. During this time warm, filtered water is gently introduced into the colon via a small tube which is inserted into the rectum. Special abdominal massage techniques are applied to help release the waste material, which can include fungus, parasites and bacteria which is stuck in the folds of the bowel wall and can cause many symptoms including headaches, low energy levels, bloating, IBS, skin problems and many more.
To enhance the detox process and for specific symptoms herbal infusions may be used
