Optimising Your Health Through Dietary Therapy
About Us
You’ve just made the first step towards a healthier new you!
There are so many mixed messages out there these days about what’s good for us and what’s not it’s no surprise people get confused.
Food is our fuel, so it makes sense that when we don’t nourish ourselves properly we get ill, tired or depressed.
Based on the study of nutrients within the body, dietary therapy promotes the use of food as the basis for healing.
Dietary therapy addresses the underlying causes of your health problems and not just the symptoms. So whether your goal is, for example, to lose a few pounds or to manage your symptoms of Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome (PCOS) or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), or all three, dietary therapy could help you. Treating the body as a whole, dietary therapy aims to address all your health problems whilst helping the body return to optimum health.
Additional benefits of visiting a Dietary Therapist are similar to those often reported by individuals who have been treated by a Nutritionist or a Nutritional Therapist. These include better mood and energy levels, improved bowel movements, improved sleep, improved immunity, improved memory and concentration and glowing skin.
About me
Zoe Christodoulides - Dietary Therapist London
'After qualifying from the University of Sussex with a BA (hons) in Social Anthropology and French I spent a number of years working in the media and charitable sectors. I then decided to follow my heart and re-train as a Dietary Therapist at the Raworth International College and of Natural, Nutritional and Sport Therapies.
Growing up with my Homeopath mother, I developed an interest in complimentary therapies from a young age. In my late teens I started to suffer from the female health condition Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome (PCOS), and was disheartened to find out that there is no conventional 'cure' for such a syndrome. This led me to undertake my own research on this and other female conditions to discover that the symptoms of PCOS were manageable through changes to one's diet and lifestyle. In managing my own symptoms related to PCOS, I decided I wanted to help other women, who like me, feel they have been let down by conventional medicine and are looking for an alternative route to improving their health'.

Consultation
Prior to your first consultation you will be asked to fill out a health questionnaire and to keep a food diary; covering all aspects of your medical history, dietary habits and lifestyle factors. You are asked to return this before your first consultation.
During the first consultation Zoe will run through these with you and explore how nutrition could help improve your health. An individualized programme determined by your specific needs will be devised for you. The first consultation will be approximately 1hr - 1hr 15 minutes.
A follow-up consultation is usually booked 3-4 weeks after the initial consultation to monitor your progress. After the first follow up, some people prefer regular sessions whilst others are happy to go away for a couple of months to work on their goals. Follow-up consultations usually last between 45 – 50 minutes.
You will be given help and guidance throughout your nutritional programme with email and telephone support.
As a Nutrition Consultant, Zoe understand the strains and stresses of modern life and takes a realistic approach to eating and living well, encouraging her clients to enjoy a balanced life.
Testimonials
"I finally got out of my vicious dieting cycle and kept the weight off."
"I struggled with my weight from a young age and often put it down to my genes as my family had a always been 'bigger boned'. After trying every diet in the book I had some success with one of the more popular point counting diets. I lost a fair amount of weight but I felt constrained and became obsessed with counting points. I'd also reached a plateau and had stopped loosing weight. After just a few sessions with Zoe, I started to feel a lot more relaxed about my food choices, probably because I started to have a better understanding of what my body needed. I have also lost more weight and no longer feel trapped in a vicious cycle of counting points and feeling hungry. Thanks Zoe - you've really changed my attitude towards food and this time it's for life!"

"I've managed to banish my winter colds."
"I always thought I was pretty healthy, so never understood why I kept getting head colds and bouts of flu, especially in the winter. What surprised me about going to see Zoe was that she didn't prescribe lots of supplements for me to take but rather showed me how I could increase my nutrition levels by including certain foods in my diet. I now rarely get colds and have at the same time improved my energy levels and my skin has never been so good!"

“I cannot stress enough to anyone suffering with PCOS how helpful Zoe is.”
"Having not had a period since coming off the pill 3 and a half years ago I went to a private specialist who diagnosed me with PCOS. It was when searching the internet one day that I came across Zoe’s website and decided to give it a shot. It was quite a shock when Zoe told me that actually you can manage PCOS, and therefore have a normal menstrual cycle, through diet. Zoe provided me with a bespoke food and nutrition plan as well as providing me with a wealth of information and resources on PCOS and nutrition. I followed Zoe’s advice and although I was told that it could take months for the diet to impact on the syndrome, within two months I had my first natural period in 3 and a half years. Obviously I was delighted! I cannot stress enough to anyone suffering with PCOS how helpful Zoe is."
