Michael has practised in Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom for 18 years since graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Anatomy from The University of Sydney, followed by a Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University, Sydney in 1992.
Michael’s experience in professional theatre (including London’s West End) and the arts has given him valuable experience treating many stage performers and seeing the benefit chiropractic brings to the work of an actor, dancer or singer. Additionally, through his experience as a grade rugby player, tennis coach and surf life saver, Michael has developed an understanding of sports injuries and the benefits of chiropractic treatment.

How many treatments will I need?
The duration and number of treatments required for resolution of complaints depends on the type of complaint and the response to treatment over time, by each particular patient. Our methods of treatment include various soft tissue techniques such as Trigger Point Therapy(TPT) and Vibration Therapy as well as Chiropractic Adjustments(manipulation) of the spinal vertebrae and skeletal bones where indicated. Initially all patients undergo thorough neurological and orthopaedic examinations.

As a former personal trainer and someone who has played sports and picked up injuries over the years. I would like to recommend Dr Michael Smith as someone who is knowledgeable, caring and passionate about helping others to be pain free, have greater mobility and well-being. Last year I had keyhole surgery for an on-going shoulder injury, that, had pain radiating down my arm. This still did not resolve the problem. Dr Michael Smith has been a blessing as he has helped me to correctly identify what the problem is and employ the correct method’s to release the pain.
With continued treatment I aim to eventually get back to doing regular exercise. Previously, even carrying shopping bags would cause pain and inflammation and it is such a relief not to be in-pain all the time. Without hesitation I recommend Dr Mike as someone who will approach your health & well-being in a professional, experienced and thoughtful manner.
