About Me Reiki Master/ Practitioner, Shamanic Practitioner - Powerful healing work, divination and soul retrieval
As a registered nurse, I found that we often only treat the symptoms of illness. The physical signs that illness is present in the body. I began to look at other therapies for a more holistic approach to healing. Therapies that worked on the whole person. We are made up of far more than just our physical body. We need to care for our mind, our emotions and our spiritual well being as well as our physical health. In response to this I sought to train in alternative therapies as detailed below.
Reiki Master and Practitioner - Celtic Reiki Branch
Reiki helps to balance the body. When we are out of balance we produce symptoms in the physical body. These can be just feeling stressed or tired all the time or they may become more serious over time causing symptoms such as high blood pressure, tension pains, headaches and migraines to name a few.
Reiki is an energy treatment that places your body in the best position to take up healing by boosting your own natural ability to heal.
Reiki can help on all levels whether the issue is physical, emotional, spiritual or of the mind. Reiki also sends the energy where it is needed. If the problem is emotional as well as physical you will receive a boost in both areas.
| offer training in Celtic Reiki - Level 1, 2 and Masters. At each stage I offer ongoing support via email and monthly support group. At level 2, Practitioner stage, I also offer hands on training support.
I offer a service both at my home in a wonderful, purpose built room and as a mobile service.
The mobile service is only open to female clients except where a client is in hospitial, in a hospice, residential home or similar.
Exciting New Workshops for 2011 - Creative Workshops for Women
In these workshops we will be looking at healing and letting go through creativity. This will incorporate the use of the talking stick, telling our stories, journeying, dancing, chanting, drumming/rattling, use of clay and paints, body painting, improvisation and acting out, fire ceremony and celebration of who we are.
These workshops are for women of 25 years and over. You don't need to be creative to do this workshops although I believe that as women we are all creative. Before you stop reading, just answer this for yourself - Have you ever chosen wallpaper for your room? Have you ever moved the sofa to one part of the room and hung a picture on a specific part of the wall and chosen a lampshade for the light? Have you ever made a dinner? Have you ever given an exuberant retelling of a juicy piece of gossip? Have you ever written in a card? Have you arranged your glasses, ornaments and niknaks on your shelves? Have you colour co-ordinated your clothes for a night out? Have you chosen a specific pair of earrings to go with a particular outfit to complete the 'look?' Have you done any or some or even all of the above? Well then, this workshop is for you!
dates are yet to be arranged but they will be beginning in the New Year.
Some workshops will be one day only and some will be 2 days and yet others may be taken over a three day period. There is no specific order in which to do these workshops, you may only want to do one of them or you may love one of them so much that you decide to do another one. Just go for the one/s that appeal to you most. That will be the right one for where you are at right now. I will be putting more details as to the content of each workshop over the next few weeks.
Just to 'wet your whistle' One of the titles for one of the workshops is:
'I will tell you my story if you have time to listen...'
This workshop incorporates a unique way of telling your story using imagery, movement, voice, journeying and celebration.
Throughout this workshop you will feel supported and held. I guarantee that whatever mood you came in the workshop with, you will leave feeling good!
I am a Shamanic Practioner offering a range of services to the community
When we meet together for the first time, I may intuit what is needed and what type of healing is appropriate. I may journey to find out what is best at this time. I will give you time to express yourself via a powerful tool called 'holding space.' It may be appropriate to journey for a missing part of yourself - you often know of the need for this yourself because you feel an emptiness that you just can't fill. Often we try to make ourselves feel complete by eating sweet things, drinking heavily, taking drugs, controlling what we eat, retail therapy and more.
Sometimes we hold onto people and places that actually doesn't help us. We might refer to this as holding some of the spirit of that person or place. We can't actually do something with that peice of spirit and it doesn't do anything for us. We can release these pieces of spirit back to where they belong and in so doing bring those parts of ourselves back - it is an energetic exchange.
Sometimes we have illnesses or operations or accidents where we leave a part of ourselves behind. A part of ourselves becomes stuck at that time and we can journey to that time and bring it back.
There are many ways in which we can obtain healing. Sometimes when we journey to the Otherworld or to Trees or to a specific issue we can obtain wisdom that can be brought back and utilised. Or we may be given a specific treatment for that particular issue. Or, it may be a unique combination of techniques that would be prescribed for your issue.
I may incorporate Tree cards or the Ogham as part of your overall healing. You will receive ongoing support throughout and at least one follow up appointment is necessary.
Drum/Rattle/Chant Healing - This type of healing is great for the relief of pain in the body.
Life Guidance - areas where specific help is required for major life decisions.
Retrieval of healthy blueprint for the physical body where it has been affected by illness/accident/breakage.
Psychopomp/grey souls work - sometimes when loved ones die the family are concerned that their loved one has not crossed over properly. They may worry that the cause of death may result in the loved family member needing extra help to go into the light/cross over.
Shamanic Journeys for specific symbols for a client that can be transferred to artwork in a variety of media.
Tarot Readings to clients seeking advise on life events and specific issues
