Private Yoga tuition in your home throughout the Brighton/Hove/Mid-Sussex district.
About Paloma Eyre
I have been practising Yoga for 10 years and teaching Yoga for 7 years. I hold teacher training diplomas from both the Pranava School of Yoga and the British Wheel of Yoga (the governing body for Yoga in the UK). I am also a level 3 Instructor with the Register of Exercise Professionals.
I don't affiliate myself to or dictate any one set 'style' or school of Yoga. I have practiced, trained in and can teach a wide variety of styles - from the dynamic of Astanga to the slower and more accessible practices such as Hatha. All of these styles have something to offer and suit different body types and personalities.
Below are some of the styles of Yoga I teach in classes but private clients can set their own agenda of how they would like to practice.
Dynamic/Astanga/Flow Yoga: A dynamic flowing practice synchronising movement with breath. Be prepared to work, tone your body but at the same time calm the mind.
Hatha Yoga: A more gentle, relaxed practice suited to all ages and abilities. Greater time is spent holding the postures to allow the body to relax into them. Props such as blocks, straps and blankets enable students to hold postures with more comfort.
Chair Yoga: A series of gentle exercises and movement I have designed specifically for the elderly, disabled, those with limited mobility or depleted energy. Gentle limbering exercises are performed in a chair to gradually improve flexibility, movement and energy levels.
Hot Yoga: Only available at Yogahaven.
Private Tuition
One to One tuition is great for complete beginners right through to Yoga aficionados who wish to further their practice. The beauty of individual tuition is that I can tailor the session to suit your needs and you can dictate the style and pace of the session.
For complete beginners the detailed instruction, attention to correct alignment and support of your teacher will give you the best foundations to build up your practice with confidence.
If you are struggling with illness or injury then the practice can be tailored to focus on problems areas to build up strength and flexibility. I also offer 'Chair Yoga' sessions for seniors or those with compromised mobility or energy levels.
Maybe you are an experienced Yoga practitioner but would like to explore different approaches to your practice or try some of the lesser known or more challenging postures with support - arm balances and handstands anyone?
What can I expect?
2011 NEW YEAR SPECIAL OFFER! FIRST PRIVATE SESSION FOR ONLY £20!

I am willing to teach small groups of up to 5 people if you wish to split the cost between family and friends.
