Bowen - Emmett - Reflexology. Clinic based between Coventry, Leamington Spa & Rugby
Welcome to Penny Gibbings
I hope you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact me if you want to know more or to discuss how I may help you.
I am a combined therapist using Bowen Therapy, The Emmett Technique and Reflexology in my treatments.
These therapies are highly effective methods for improving health and relieving pain. They are also excellent for relaxation and stress reduction.
Don’t worry if you don’t know which therapy would be best for you. During your first appointment I shall take an overview of your symptoms and medical history. We can discuss which type of treatment would be the most appropriate for you at that time.
Bowen Therapy
A non-intrusive, gentle and highly effective light touch complementary therapy that can be done through light clothing. Promotes healing, pain and stress relief and recovery of energy and can be helpful for people of all ages and states of health.

The Emmett Technique
The Emmett Technique is a unique body therapy created by Remedial Therapist Ross Emmett.
It is useful in addressing pain and discomfort and improving restrictions in movement.
The technique uses light finger pressure and gentle switches in specific locations initiating the gentle release of tension in many problem areas such as neck, shoulder and back
The Emmett Technique can be used on its own or alongside other therapies.
Clients can be treated sitting, standing or lying down and treatment can be done through clothing.
The Emmett Technique can produce dramatic and instantaneous results with most clients recognising the improvements in pain levels and range of movement before leaving the clinic.

Reflexology
Uses specific techniques of holds and pressures on the feet (or hands) and promotes healing, pain and stress relief in the whole body. Can be as relaxing as a whole body massage.

Testimonials
"Having suffered on and off for a number of years with pains in my right shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand I had been to my GP numerous times and was unsatisfied with the outcome. I decided it was time to look at alternative treatments and went to Penny, not knowing anything about the Bowen technique but willing to give anything a try. The pain was gone after the first session and though to start with I could not quite see how the Bowen technique worked I am now a convert!
Perseverance and patience are essential as many aches and pains have an underlying cause that is not at first obvious. Bowen has opened my eyes to how different areas of the body are linked - treating your neck can have an effect on your legs and feet and visa versa. Penny has helped me to discover just what a sensitive body I have, I am now far more in tune with my body and what is going on. I would recommend her style of treatment to anyone who finds more mainstream therapies such as osteopathy or massage just that bit too physical - it really doesn't have to hurt after you have had treatment."

"About 10 years ago I slipped and broke my left shoulder, tearing the biceps in the process. I had physiotherapy at the hospital which was successful up to a point. But I still had limited movement in my arm and very often my shoulder would ache quite badly. I put up with this for a very long time until a friend of mine suggested Bowen Therapy. Thank goodness I took her advice.
I began seeing Penny on a regular basis. It made a great deal of difference to the mobility of my shoulder and I continue to see Penny for treatment for other issues when I feel the need.
Penny also does a top notch reflexology session, which I have found tremendously helpful."

"I was having many problems with a condition known as Polymyalgia Rheumatica, which causes painful swelling of muscles, particularly in the neck, shoulders and hips. In fact in most areas of the body.
Fortunately I have been receiving Bowen Therapy and the Emmett Technique from Penny and this has proved invaluable in assisting my recovery. The treatment helps to alleviate the pain, tenderness and stiffness associated with this condition.
Thank you Penny for all the help and advice you have given me. Especially for the relaxing treatments and giving me back a feeling well being."
