I am Polly, a Reiki Master Teacher (Usui school), based in Marlborough, Wiltshire. I have practised since 2003 having learnt from Jill Sudbury, Reiki Master and founder of the Marlborough School of Reiki.
For those who don't know already, Reiki is a powerful but gentle healing therapy originating in Japan, which can be used to heal oneself and others. Reiki means “Universal Life Force Energy”. Reiki was developed early in the twentieth century by Dr Mikao Usui, a Buddhist monk, drawing upon ancient teachings and healing traditions. However, Reiki healing is not religious and is practiced by people of all faiths and beliefs, or none, and in all walks of life.
Reiki is a non-intrusive healing system and can provide the following benefits:
- Balance the mind, body and spirit
- Lift your energy levels and mood
- Relax, support & soothe
- Help you to be yourself
- Allow the body to heal itself in just the right way for you
- Increase your self esteem and self awareness
As a Reiki Master Teacher, I both provide healing to members of the general public and run courses for those who wish to learn the beauty of Reiki and spread healing wider.
Reiki can be given to animals and is therefore also a wonderful gift for pets and working animals alike.
