SERVICES
The word Reiki itself means "Universal Life Force Energy". Reiki concentrates on the channelling of positive energy to promote the well being of the body and mind. It can cause no harm since its existence is only that of a healing energy.
A Reiki Practitioner has been attuned to Reiki and is a channel through which the energy can pass. Reiki is drawn by the person receiving it and not given by the Reiki Practitioner.
The Reiki Practitioner channels this life energy through his or her hands to the recipient and it activates the body's natural ability to heal itself. It is the aim of every Reiki treatment to channel Reiki to all parts of the body. In this way the energy works to bring balance and healing to whole person.
Reiki is non-intrusive, it does not require the recipient to remove clothes and there is no pressure applied to the body. The practitioner works intuitively and gently applies hands on or over areas of the head and body that energy is felt to be needed. This is particularly useful for treating conditions where touching the body may be painful.
Reiki is a holistic way of treating many acute and chronic conditions, and brings about spiritual,mental, emotional and physical well being. Reiki is suitable for everyone age is not an issue.
Reiki is not used as a substitute for orthodox medicine, but can compliment and increase the effectiveness of most kinds of medication and other forms of treatment.
Treatments can be given with the client lying down on a couch or if this is not possible treatments can be given with the client sitting on a chair.
Treatments can be given at Reiki Healing or in ones own home.

REIKI DRUM
Drumming for healing and meditation is an ancient practice. In tribal cultures the power of sound over the body and spirit is well known, and now in the western world there is research supporting this- making this ancient wisdom more palatable to modern minds. Research shows that brain activity can actually be affected by drumming, and there are studies showing how the sounds of a drum can help with illness and emotional trauma. The combination of the energy of Reiki with the ancient practice of shamanic drumming , whether for healing or journeying leads to a powerful yet gentle healing. Biofeedback research has indicated that drumming (even for short periods) can influence bran activity, bringing them into the meditative alpha state and reducing stress. We know that stress levels are linked to the onset of many diseases, flare-ups of chronic conditions, and the strong tensions in the body. In releasing and reducing stress we are contributing to ones overall health and wellbeing.
So far research has been conducted the findings of which support the value of drumming in the following conditions: cancer ,alzheimer's, dementia, stress, fatigue, anxiety, hypertension, asthma, arthritis, parkinsons, ms, stroke,paralysis, and migraines. Drumming has also helped emotionally disturbed teens, children with ADD, those recovering from emotional trauma, recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, patients recovering from surgery autistic children, prison inmates and homeless people.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
The traditional art of indian Head Massage is based on the ancient system of medicine known as Ayurveda, which has been practised in India for thousands of years. The word "Ayurveda" comes from Sanskrit and means "the science of longevity". The Ayurveda approach to health is the balance of body, mind and spirit, and the promotion of long life. The secret of Ayurveda lies in the prana, the vital force (pra=before, and ana=breath). Strong prana is the source of good health.
Indian Head Massage treatments consist of a range of different massage and pressures and rhythms which are used to stimulate head, neck, upper back and shoulder area. This helps to relieve accumulated tension, stimulate circulation, and restore joint movement. Indian Head Massage works on both the physical and mental level- it helps all systems of the body such as immune, nervous, respiratory, endocrine,circulation, muscular, skeletal and lymphatic. Mentally, it helps the mind to relax, transmitting a life-giving energy that assists all the systems of the body to restore and renew themselves.
For Indian Head Massage treatments the client remains fully clothed whilst sitting on a chair. The client can be offered treatment with special oils for massage of the scalp. Applying oil to the head helps to strengthen the hair and remove dryness and, by relaxing the muscles and nerves of the head, fatigue is eliminate bringing about a feeling of being refreshed and revitalised.
Treatments can be given at Reiki-Healing or in ones own home.
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is an ancient healing art believed to have originated in China at least five thousand years ago, when the Chinese practised a pressure therapy related to that of acupuncture. Reflexology was rediscovered 100 years ago and with this rediscovery came the benefits to assist us in alleviating the stresses of the modern world.
Reflexology is an extremely effective form of foot massage based on the principle that "reflex points" on the hands and feet correspond to each organ and structure in the body and are linked to those organs by energy channels, zones or meridians. When illness or imbalances occurs in the body, the corresponding energy channels become blocked and Reflexology Massage is aimed to destroy these blocks, allowing the energy to flow freely again, so restoring the body's natural balance and good health. Reflexologists regard the feet as a "map" of the body. Illnesses , or potential illnesses, are indicated by tender areas on the appropriate reflex points on the feet, reflecting imbalance of the affected organ or organs. By applying reflexology foot massage techniques to these points the body can be prompted to maximise its own great capacity both to heal itself and to prevent illness.
Reflexology treatments helps improve circulation, cleanses the body of toxins and impurities and balances the whole body. Reflexology reduces stress and induces deep tranquil relaxation. Some of the conditions that can benefit from Reflexology include IBS, digestive problems, insomnia, headaches, sinus problems PMT and anxiety.
