About Me
My name is Kevin and I have worked in the healthcare sector for over 27 years as a nursing assistant. A special interest in healing and helping others has led me to holistic therapies and Reiki.
I work in very relaxing environments, at Rose Cottage Clinic, on Lintonville Terrace, in Ashington, and in Dene House Farm in Longframlington where, for a small extra charge, the use of swimming pool, jacuzzi & sauna can be included with your massage.
My qualifications include Swedish full body massage, Hot stone massage, Thai hot herb compress massage, Indian head massage, Manual lymphatic drainage massage, Lomi lomi massage, Indonesian massage, Bamboo massage & Seated Bamboo massage, Hopi ear candling (Thermo-Auricular Therapy) and Reiki Master/Teacher member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).
I offer Reiki training as well as treatments.
I am fully professional and experienced in the treatments I provide and full draping with the use of towels and batik sheets is provided according to the clients comfort level.
My favourite and most of my clients favourite of these treatments is the hot stone massage as the heat off the stones help soften the muscles, and the wide variety of stones I use get deep into the muscles releasing so much more tension and tightness as well as being extremely relaxing.
As a male therapist, I have a slightly firmer natural pressure with my massage that provides a massage that you remember for all the right reasons. I use varying degrees of pressure from light to deep, combined with long, flowing arm strokes to aid deep relaxation and the relief of tension and stress. However, all of my treatments are individually tailored to suit each clients own needs and therefore my pressure will be adjusted to your own preference.
With the holistic therapy industry being predominantly female, I understand that some people may find it uncomfortable coming to a male therapist if they haven’t done so before. However, I treat all my clients professionally and would be happy to meet you and discuss my treatments and any concerns you may have, so that you can get to know me before your treatment.
I have a satisfied network of clients situated in and around Ashington, including Blyth, Stakeford, Morpeth, Cramlington, Pegswood & Newbiggin. I have also been working as a voluntary therapist with ‘Healthwise’, which is a women’s self help group based in Cramlington, who are a great bunch of women that are always on the lookout for volunteer therapists.

I have started up a Reiki share meeting on the 1st Friday of each month at Rose Cottage from 6-9pm for Reiki therapist of all levels to meet and practice group healings and swap experiences and advice.

One of the great things about Reiki is that it is probably one of the easiest therapies to learn and one of the easiest therapies to give. Plus no special gifts or talents are needed; almost everyone can be trained or attuned. So why not invest in learning to use Reiki on yourself and your family. Regular Reiki workshops are run in a very relaxing environment and in a friendly and relaxed style, with no pressure to learn or exam to pass. Light lunch and refreshments are provided, as are all course materials. Reiki training takes two days with a lot of hands on practice. Level 1 (Sho den) is £120 and Level 2 (Oku den) is £150, there is £20 discount on level 2 for students that have done their level 1 with me.
