Welcome to Hillside Osteopathy
Whether you are in pain as a result of an injury or have a longer-term problem, osteopathy can provide a unique and lasting way to stimulate the body to repair and regenerate. Using a hands-on system of diagnosis and treatment, the osteopath can identify and remedy abnormality in the structure and function of your body. At Hillside Osteopathy, Saffron Ray uses a wide range of treatment techniques, including:
cranial osteopathy ·
soft tissue massage
joint articulation and manipulation
stretches
exercises
Saffron has completed extensive training in the field of cranial osteopathic techniques. Through establishing links with local midwives, health visitors and GPs, as well as strong connections with the National Childbirth Trust (NCT), I has an excellent reputation for the treatment of babies and adult difficulties experienced during pregnancy.

About Saffron Ray
I trained at the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in Kent and ran a busy Osteopathic clinic in Surrey for 8 years before moving to Stroud in 2007.
I bring to my new practise a varied and professional experience of Osteopathy with adults, babies and children. My particular fields of interest are in family Osteopathy, working with birth trauma for babies and parents and long term trauma or injury.
With a strong commitment to the long term musculoskeletal stability and health of my patients in mind, I trained as a Body Control Pilates instructor in 2002 and I teach one to one and group mat work classes.
I live with my family in Stroud.

Testimonial
"Saffron has a unique and intuitive approach to her work. She has helped me improve my posture and virtually eliminate the constant pain I had from an injury I had been carrying around for 20 years."

With the creation of the 1993 Osteopaths Act came the founding of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and, in 2000, the statutory register of Osteopaths. In order to use the title “Osteopath”, practitioners must adhere to standards of practice and conduct and follow a compulsory program of continued professional development. Patients can feel reassured that when they consult an Osteopath, they are seeing a skilled, registered professional. I am fully registered with the GOsC.
