Now, more than ever before, individuals taking responsibility for their own health, nutrition, exercise and relaxation are trying out complementary therapies with positive results to their physical, emotional and spiritual well being. Most treatments given are holistic, a concept behind nearly all complementary therapies, aiming to treat the body as a whole on all levels rather than just the physical. Of those turning to complementary therapies, some visit the doctor for a diagnosis of their problem and then decide to try a natural therapy before or in conjunction with a course of conventional medical treatment. However, many are now opting for Complementary Therapies as a preferred route. What ever the consideration, Senses Complementary therapies will initiate a qualified consultation to determine any problems which may prevent the treatment taking place or adapting the treatment to the suitability and benefit of the individual client.
In summary, it is the health and well being of the client that is the fundamental and primary focus.
About Senses
Some of the encompassing therapies over the years provide Reflexology, Additional Reflex techniques, Sports and Remedial Massage, Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Hot stones, Holistic and Swedish massage, Hopi ear, Tibetan head/body and Holistic Facials. I am based at a salon in Mirfield, West Yorkshire and have a treatment room in Gomersal but can accommodate mobile visits on request. Further to this, coming form a corporate background I work on site, offering packages to businesses for the wellbeing of their staff. This is the 'new night out - In' and I will often bring in one or more therapists complementing or providing other skills to the portfolio of treatment packages. Massage Treatments
Massage is beneficial to all body systems and is a natural and effective way of helping to release endorphins, the body’s own pain relief and feel good factor. Physically, muscle tone and blood circulation is improved as well as the body being stimulated to eliminate toxins. Please allow a minimum extra 20 minutes consultation with every first therapy treatment.
Sports and Remedial massage
This massage provides a faster recovery rate from micro work outs, chronic injuries, fatigue, tension and cramping of muscles as well as aiding some debilitating, remedial conditions. The treatments aid to increase flexibility & range of movement, increase circulation efficiency & reducing injury recovery healing time.

Aromatherapy Full Body Massage
Combining massage using a recipe of pure essential Likisma oils blended to meet your needs. A relaxing full body massage, incorporating face and scalp

The cream or bath foam made with the essential oils given in the treatment is a valuable ‘aftercare’ product enhancing the treatments effects.
Swedish/Holistic Massage
A traditional favourite! This treatment provides a combination of firm and beneficial pressure which is both relaxing as well as stimulating. Each treatment is adapted to suit the individual’s pressure preference promoting a feeling of physical relief and well-being.

Target Zone Areas
A combination of techniques is used such as neuromuscular and connective tissue release to relieve chronic, tense, knotted areas. Target areas discussed within consultation. Normal target areas are back neck and shoulders, thighs etc.

Indian Head
Melt away the tension stored in the back, neck, upper arms, shoulders, face and scalp. This ‘sit down treatment’ helps with fatigue, stress, worries, concentration levels, headaches & migraines. Heavenly Hot Stones
A ‘must indulgence’ massage with a difference inducing deep relaxation, penetrating muscle tension and creating a wholly therapeutic sensation of warmth and comfort with the heat from the balsamic stones. A great treatment to receive during the cold winter months.

Reflexology
A deeply relaxing, non intrusive therapy that has to be experienced. The feet and hands are considered to be ‘maps’ of all the organs of the body and the therapy can rebalance energy and healing processes aiding a wide range of conditions. The treatment helps with pain relief, increased energy, circulation & immune levels but is particularly effective with stress and anxieties.

Tibetan Head/Body Massage
A slow, deeply relaxing experience aiming to calm and stabilize the flow of energy in the body. You remain fully clothed on a couch and the gentle massage incorporates the upper arms, shoulders, neck face and scalp. The perfect treatment for stilling an unquiet mind, bringing an immense feeling of peace.

Hopi Ear Candling Therapy
