Massage can bring with it many health benefits. The deep relaxation that is often reached through massage provides the perfect space for the body to heal on many levels.
I began my massage practice in Bristol in 2002. I currently work on Mondays at the Family Practice on Gloucester Road, Bishopston.
Since my initial training in Swedish Massage my approach has evolved to incorporate a range of techniques best described a holistic massage.
Working holistically is about honouring you as a whole person; a massage routine isn't imposed upon you. Instead, you are invited to relax, to stretch, to release and open; helping you to feel rejuvenated and restored.
I draw on a range of massage techniques to meet the needs of each individual, I specialise in hands-free techniques that facilitate deep tissue release and I'm equally at home with more gentle work.
I specialise in pregnancy massage and also work with birth partners facilitating wellbeing in pregnancy and teaching specific massage techniques.
I completed my training in Nutritional Therapy in 2007 and find this approach to be a deeply nourishing way to engage with healing from long and short term illnesses. It also supports deeper self awareness and can inspire a great love of food and life and your ability for sustained good health.
Since the birth of my daughter in 2006 I have been teaching others the joys of massaging their own children.
I also run introductory workshops in Holistic Massage.
