We offer One Day Accredited and Insurable Massage Workshops open to those interested in learning a touch therapy, for those who wish to become a Massage Therapist or for those wishing to further their career.
All courses carry CPD points and are Accredited and Registered with FHT, CMA, Embody and The Guild of Holistic and Beauty Therapists.

with the exception of the * Advanced Course, Hot Stone, MLD and Pregnancy.*
Proof of qualifications in Massage and A&P will be needed to attend these courses.

Most of our one day courses run from 10.30 to 4.30pm Weekdays or 11.00-5pm Weekends (and usually one hour longer for the advanced courses - all course times can be found on each course page)
Cathy Alderson is your tutor at Sussex School of Therapeutic Massage.
She is an experienced Massage Practitioner , Bodyworker and Tutor with Gateway Workshops having initially trained in 1990 whilst living in New Zealand.
She has gained a wealth of experience from her on-going training through various post-graduate schools including Advanced Training with Mario-Paul Cassar DO ND, author of "Handbook of Clinical Massage" amongst many others.
Cathy has previously worked in Covent Gardens famous "The Sanctuary" where many celebrities became regular clients. She has worked from healing and therapy centres, gyms, festivals, corporate events and hospitals. She now has a therapy centre at home and works at other clinics.
Currently Sussex School of Therapeutic Massage operates from Ora Fitness Centre in Brighton and Hove, The Groves Medical Centre in New Malden, Near Kingston and at Purus Health In Covent Garden, London WC2E .
Cathy is still a keen `hands-on` therapist and works from Natural Balance Clinic on Thursdays from 12-8pm and from her own Therapy Centre, Bodywork and Massage Clinic, where she specialises in the treatment of pain incorporating techniques from Myofacial Release and Advanced therapy techniques to free the body, ease pain, relax and rejuvinate.
