Welcome to LSHB (London School of Health & Beauty)
Although the school is a relatively new one, it is by no means inexperienced. All our teachers have been teaching for at least 3 years, with some teaching for over 12 years. Our tutors have come from a range of different backgrounds, meaning all our students receive a different perspective on subjects, not the usual narrow perspective.
We pride ourselves in delivering first class education. say all our courses are taught the same as ITEC – the UK and international governing and awarding body for all types of health and beauty qualifications. The college is regularly inspected, every 2-3 months, to ensure our high teaching standards are being maintained.
The Facilities
When you look at our clinic and clinic facilities, you will be more than impressed with what we have to offer. The college is situated within a £30 million Olympic training facility.
The college boasts a fully functional clinic and rehabilitation room including electrotherapy modalities and rehabilitation equipment.

Diploma in Aromatherapy

How to perform an effective Full Body Aromatherapy Massage Posture, lymph drainage and pressure points. The Holistic Approach - Treating the whole person. Introduction to other Complementary Therapies. Legislation and consent to Aromatherapy treatment. In-depth study of at least 42 essential oils. Methods of extraction, chemistry, therapeutic effects of essential oils. Carrier oils. Methods of consultation. Common ailments Contra-indications to Aromatherapy Client care Hygiene and safety procedures in the clinic. Referral procedures Create, evaluate and review Aromatherapy treatment programmes.
First aid procedures for the clinic. Management and public relations. Setting up in practice. How to look after yourself as a therapist.
Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy
The main aim of the Level 3 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy is to enable learners to gain the practical and theoretical skills necessary to provide Sports Massage Therapy. It has been designed to provide learners with the requisite knowledge, understanding and skills to work in an unsupervised capacity as a sports massage practitioner, with non-pathological (non-injured) tissue. In this qualification learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of the theory underpinning the practise of Sports Massage Therapy, including functional anatomy and physiology, nutrition, classification of sports injuries and the stages of healing. It will also provide learners with the understanding, skills and techniques to plan, prepare for and apply a range of sports massage methods to uninjured clients.
Diploma in Reflexology
The main aim of the Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology is to enable learners to gain the practical and theoretical skills necessary to provide reflexology treatments for the purposes of relaxation and stress release. To provide skills at Level 3 in the Qualifications and Credit Framework for those interested in the Complementary Therapy industry. To provide opportunities for staff in the Complementary Therapy industry to gain a Level 3 qualification. To qualify learners as Complementary Therapists at Level 3 in the Complementary Therapy industry.
To sustain the interest of learners wanting to work in the Complementary Therapy industry. To encourage knowledge and understanding of the Complementary Therapy industry at Level 3. To provide opportunities for learners to focus on the development of the major Key skills and the wider Key skills in a Therapy context, such as communicating with clients, working with others and problem solving. To provide opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in employment as a Complementary Therapist.
Diploma in Pilates Teaching
The main aim of the Level 3 Diploma in Pilates Teaching is to enable candidates to provide clients/classes with a Pilates programme for their needs to improve overall fitness and flexibility as well as advice on healthy eating to help maintain their health, fitness and wellbeing.
It also aims: To provide skills at Level 3 in the National Qualification Framework for those interested in the Health and Fitness industry. To provide opportunities for staff in the Fitness industry to gain a Level 3 qualification in Pilates teaching.
