Welcome to The BodyworksIt's very easy to fall into the trap of thinking about 'my stupid knee' or 'if only I could sleep' or 'I'd be alright if it weren't for my job/my family/my debts' or whatever. The truth is that we are Holistic beings: we cannot come anywhere near our real happiness or potential if some element of our life is out of balance. That imbalance might show itself in physical symptoms, or in mental stress, or in difficult relationships, but wherever it appears it is affecting us at all levels.
So where do we begin to restore balance to the system? I have no idea! The good news is, that your body DOES know, and by sensitive and intelligent questioning of your system we can find out exactly what is needed to restore balance, release the stresses and allow the body's own healing process to put you back on track.
When you come for a session we will first spend some time finding out about you - your symptoms, your daily life, your aims and goals and what you feel is holding you back. Then before we start asking any questions of your body I will balance your meridian energies to ensure that we get answers that reflect your wellbeing at all levels. I then open each and every session with the question: 'In order to address all these concerns, to help x to achieve her aims and goals and to bring the energy system into overall harmony and balance, how are we working together today?'

As we are working at energy level there is no limit to the situations where this therapy can bring improvement. Some people under pressure at work will develop headaches, others will have trouble sleeping, get a bad back, suffer with their stomach or develop panic attacks. Just as we are all different in the ways that we adapt to cope with life's challenges so your symptoms are a clue to the healing process, but there are no fixed protocols. We follow your body's guidance at all times, which allows us to work in the most efficient and effective way for you.
