Therapy Corner Specialises in Colon Hydrotherapy more well know as Colonic Irrigation. About Lymphatic Colon Massage
Abdominal massage is designed to target the abdominal cavity, which contains your intestines, stomach, liver, kidneys, gall bladder and the pancreas. The massage combines lymphatic drainage with regular massage techniques as well as oils and vibration to assist the release of the connective network to help free the bowel to function naturally.
About Reflexology
Reflexologists believe that by stimulating / massaging the corresponding pressure points in the feet it can encourage the body to heal itself. It can help with fertility, back and joint pain, hormonal imbalances, headaches to name a few. Treatments last for 60 mins.
About Reiki
Reiki is a Universal Life Force Energy that is channelled through the practitioner and can again encourage the body to heal itself. Clients can expect to feel relaxed and rejuvenated with an enormous sense of well being. Over the course of treatments a client can experience a lessoning of symptoms. A Singing bowl is used during the treatment along with aromatherapy oils.
QUALIFICATION DETAILS
Hello, My name is Lindsey and I am your therapist at Therapy Corner Colonics.
I began my career in complementary therapies in 2002. I studied in Romford at Havering Adult College for 1 year which included an in depth Anatomy and Physiology course. I then opened a Therapy Room at my home in Essex, which enabled me to work around my young family.
I also volunteered my time giving treatments to people with mental health problems and through this met a Reiki Teacher who introduced me to Reiki. I instantly fell in love and wanted to know more about Reiki & working with Energy. After a few sessions I became hooked and began training in Reiki Level I so that I could treat myself and my family. Shortly after training in Reiki level I, I trained in Reiki level II to enable me to offer it to my clients. I also volunteered my time at Herts & Essex hospital during 2007 where the NHS conducted an experimental treatments to gauge how beneficial patients found Reiki to be alongside conventional treatments. It is sucessful and still running to this day.
I also became one of the founder members of the Hummingbird Group based in Hertfordshire who worked closely alongside Marie Curie Cancer Care offering Reiki and Reflexology to people who had been touched by Cancer whether they be carers or the people suffering cancer themselves.
I stumbled across Colon Hydrotherapy as it was something that I had always wanted to try as I had read about it's many benefits. I had no presenting conditions but liked the thought of feeling cleansed and no matter how much water I drank my skin never seemed to look or feel any more hydrated. After having a course of 5-6 treatments and following a detox plan I found that I became energised and could think more clearly, I had no cravings as I previously had before having the treatment and my skin felt hydrated at last. I lost weight that I had not been able to shift since having my children without even trying but just by following an easy detox plan together with the colonics.
My stomach was flat and I was having regular bowel movements twice a day instead of just once every other day! I also had the feeling of being alert and rejuvenated and a wonderful sense of wellbeing. Once again I was hooked and this lead me onto training in Colon Hydrotherapy. Colon Hydrotherapy is an amazing and extremely beneficial treatment whether you are just wanting to give yourself a health boost or to aid an existing bowel condition.
