Having trained in remedial therapy at the College for the Blind in Hereford, I have 10 years experience of working with hands-on techniques.
Employed by the NHS Homoeopathic Hospital in Glasgow since 2001, I have experience of working with and providing relief from the symptoms of chronic illness such as fibro-myalgia & chronic fatigue, low back pain, neck pain and headaches, arthritis & IBS.. Currently still at the Homoeopathic with private clinics in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Massage
The primary therapeutic hands-on approach. Using nourishing oil, the therapist kneads and stretches the muscles to unwind knots, release tension and relax the body. Qualified in 2000 with ITEC.
Reflexology
Reflexology can be used as an entire treatment, working the area of the feet, hands and ears. Stimulates the whole body to balance and relax the entire system. Qualified in 2000 with ITEC.
Bowen Technique
Using small, non-invasive moves to the muscles and tendons, the therapist releases areas of tension found around the body to allow the posture to re-align. Qualified in 2003 with the European College of Bowen Studies.
Cranio-Sacral Therapy
The therapist uses light touch and cradling holds to allow the body to relax and unwind, using the body's own movement to allow healing change. Certified to practice with UIUK and BIUK since 2006.
