Integrative medicine (see below) endeavours to promote healing without toxic pharmaceutical drugs. It uses an eclectic naturopathic approach that encompasses homeopathy, nutrition, herbalism, allergy and environmental medicine.
At this clinic, modern bio-electro resonance technology (vegatesting) is used to identify the causes of the disease process and to select naturopathic treatment. Vegatesting also monitors the health index (level of toxicity).
A printout of the causes of health deterioration and of the selected treatment is provided.
Causes of chronic ill health
These include any type of stress (physical, chemical and emotional). At this clinic, dental mercury poisoning has been found to be a relatively common cause of health deterioration. Other common causes are set out in the section on integrative medicine below.

INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE
Integrative medicine has superseded naturopathic medicine. It is based on the following principles.
- The naturopathic dictums, ‘first do no harm’ (L. primum non Nocere) and ‘identity and treat the cause’ (L. tolle causam) apply.
- Take a detailed medical history with a view to making a provisional causal diagnosis (anamnesis).
- Practice a combined approach using several systems of non-suppressive medicine: e.g. classical and modern (complex) homeopathy, nutritional and herbal medicine and clinical ecology, which covers allergy, sensitivity and food intolerance.
- Ideally, use a bio regulatory approach (kinesiology or electro acupuncture) to assist with causal diagnosis and treatment selection.
- Explain your approach to your patients and teach your students.
Integrative medicine entails a broadly based knowledge of the causes of disease process, of several systems of non-suppressive medicine, bio regulatory testing skills and an open-minded approach. Knowledge of conventional medicine and of the side effects of pharmaceutical preparations is also desirable
Common underlying causes of health deterioration
- Heavy metal poisoning (dental mercury, cadmium from diesel fumes)
- Poor hydration
- Interference fields (harmful electromagnetic radiation)
- Environmental toxicity (industrial and urban pollution)
- An acidic biological terrain
- Intestinal dysbiosis (bacterial, fungal and micro parasitical)
- Chronic viral infection (e.g. Epstein Barr virus in glandular fever)
- Chronic bacterial infection (e.g. Borrelia Burgdorferi in Lyme Disease), Chronic fungal infection (in systemic candidiasis)
- A compromised immune system
- Allergy and sensitivity
- Food intolerance
For example, a child with autism was found to have mercury poisoning from his mother’s mercury dental fillings that had crossed the mother’s placenta during pregnancy. A schoolboy, who had been ill for years, and who had not been helped by conventional medicine was found with vegatesting to have Lyme disease.
