Vitality Aromatherapy
Hello my name is Louise Green. I live in Kelvedon, Essex, with my husband and two children.
Aromatherapy harnesses the potent natural healing power of plants to help support body and mind. In this busy world that we live in, receiving regular massage and using aromatic remedies can help restore your innate sense of health and vitality that can often be lacking due to illness, stress or emotional issues. My principal aim is always to work with you to help you to feel better.
I am currently running a mobile service in North Essex bringing aromatherapy to you in your home. I can also post my natural products to anywhere in the UK. If you are unable to meet me for a consultation I provide a bespoke product formulation service by email.
What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy appeals to many people because in the UK it is associated with pleasure and relaxation. This is definitely an important element of an aromatherapy treatment but you may be surprised to find there is more to it than just that. Aromatherapy is now widely accepted and used in many hospitals and hospices by health professionals alongside conventional medical treatment, particularly in palliative care. It can help alleviate a wide range of ailments.
Aromatherapy can help you to feel better by improving your physical and emotional health and wellbeing through the controlled use of essential oils suitable to the person, applied by methods such as massage, vapourisation, direct inhalation, bathing, local application such as compresses and ointments, and used in skin creams and other toiletries. The tiny molecules that comprise essential oils penetrate the skin and also enter the body via the nose and the olfactory system.
Essential oils are highly concentrated essences distilled or expressed from aromatic plants. Plants from all over the world make essential oils and they are extracted from various parts of plants such as the flowers, leaves, seeds, roots, fruits, bark and resin. Many plants have been used for their therapeutic purposes for medicine, incense, fumigation, skin care and perfume by various cultures throughout history. Much of the traditional use of plants has been validated by modern research.
