Traditional Acupuncture as practised by Mrs Dorothy Baker-Purnell is a system of healing that has been used in China and other Eastern countries for thousands of years. It was thought to have been brought to the Western world in the 17th century by Jesuit Missionaries and is now practised worldwide. It is one of the most wonderful and effective natural treatments ever to be given to mankind.
The WEI CLINIC was established first in Kent then in Suffolk since 1979 to provide a centre where patients can choose a natural alternative treatment to drugs. Mrs Dorothy Baker-Purnell, who started the clinic in Bury St Edmunds was at first trained in Osteopathy, then followed this with 7 years study of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, plus two years herbal medicine and a 2 year course in Hypnotherapy. Stubborn chronic pain will often be treated with Electro Acupuncture. Which we also use for facial cosmetic acupuncture now widely practiced to improve facial lines and blemishes. Mrs Purnell is also qualified to carry out Vega food allergy testing.
