Who comes to see me and why
Patients come to see me for an enormous number of reasons, as individual as each person is. People often come with several different complaints that would be seen as unconnected by conventional medicine, as well as a vague feeling that things are not quite right.
An audit of my practice shows that many patients coming with a diagnosis from the Doctor of the following conditions, had self referred:
acne, allergy, amenorrhoea, anxiety, appetite loss, arthritis, childhood behavioral problems, chronic fatigue, colic infantile, conjunctivitis, constipation, chronic cough, earache, eczema, endometriosis, epilepsy, fibroid, glue ear, hay fever, herpes, high blood pressure, impotence, infertility, influenza, insomnia, irritable bowel, menopause, migraine, night terrors, palpitations, pregnancy, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, scabies, side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, sore throats, tonsillitis, vertigo and warts, vomiting and diarrhoea.

Homeopaths regard all the symptoms of a patient's condition - mental, emotional and physical - as evidence of a unified effort to resolve an inner disturbance and return to a state of balance. Homeopaths select and prescribe remedies, which on evidence from a variety of sources, including previous testing on healthy people [no animal testing] and clinical experience, are known to produce similar symptom pictures to those of the patient. My experience of M.E. or 'chronic fatigue' has been ongoing and complicated over 12 years and after initially being ill with glandular fever, liver infection and pneumonia. When I saw my Homeopath I was experiencing a deterioration in my condition after a previous period of gradual improvement. I was relieved that not only was my illness taken seriously, but his approach was holistic taking into account my emotional and psychological well-being as well.
Over time there has been a gradual improvement, particularly with a return to a degree of mental stamina that was missing previously. I can definitely say there is a change, an improvement, in my whole condition affecting some of my symptoms - it is a long haul., but feel I am at least on route to progressing to a state where I may eventually be well again.

Qualification Details
I am a Registered Homeopath with the Society of Homeopaths and have been in practice since 1990, after having completed a four year training with the School of Homeopathy (Devon). I abide by the Society's Code of Ethics and Practice and have full insurance arranged through them. In addition to my private practice I also teach homeopathy and supervise other homeopaths.
