Naturopathy is a multi-disciplinary therapy, which encompasses herbal medicine, nutrition, iridology and clinical tests.
Our massage service may help to address many sporting or chronic aches and pains. We hope you walk away feeling relaxed and like a new person. We have a special interest in cancer patients, using therapeutic massage to help those suffering with a difficult disease such as cancer.

Naturopathy
This is multi disciplinary approach to addressing health problems. This therapy includes diagnostic methods such iridology, tongue and nail analysis. It also uses the application of nutrition & diet, vitamins and mineral therapy, herbal medicine and flower remedies. The addition of other tests many be advised at the time of consultation.

Testing -
Hair mineral analysis test –
This easy to do test is done by taking a sample of clean hair from the nape of the neck. It maybe useful to determine your mineral status and to identify heavy metal which maybe toxic to your well-being. This is used extensively in our clinic for fertility issues, environmental exposure and chronic health conditions.
Adrenal stress profile –
This saliva test is done over a 24hr period. It helps to identify cortisol and DHEA status. It maybe useful in the case of obesity, reproductive imbalances, CFS and imbalance in stress response.
Female Hormone profile-
This salvia test is done over a 28 day period. It determines the oestrogen, testosterone and progesterone levels. It may be useful in cases such as menstrual irregularities, ovulation difficulties, functional infertility, pre-menstrual syndrome and peri-menopausal and other hormonal related disorders.
Nutrition
This is the study and analysis of your diet and food consumption to determine: cause of a health problem, mineral and/or vitamins deficiencies or food intolerances. The addition of a Hair mineral analysis test maybe given at the time of consultation. Nutrition is incorporated into a naturopathic consultation.
Iridology
This is an insightful method of diagnosis of your health. It does not however, determine disease. It is a close examination of the iris (coloured area of the eye) and by using a detailed chart the iris can reveal information about your health such as: toxic accumulation, organ weakness or stress, digestive function and congestive states are just a few examples. This tool is used within a naturopathic consultation.
Ear candling
Also known as thermo-auricular therapy it is a gentle method used to help clear the ears. Using a special candle which is placed into the ear, the candle creates a vacuum and can extract debris and wax from the ear. It may be used in conditions such as tinnitus, pressure changes due flying or diving, glue ear and excessive ear wax.
Massage
Remedial & Sports massage
This style of massage is beneficial for those suffering with a muscular problem or injury. This massage style is intense, with the use of high friction and deep relaxation of the muscles and fascia. This style may help to reduce pain and increase movement to the affected area. It may be suited to problems such as: frozen shoulder, back pain, tennis elbow, referred pain and aiding in recovery from injury or surgery.
Relaxation & Therapeutic massage
If you want to achieve deep relaxation, reduce tension and stress then this style is for you. Although, we aim to iron out the knots and bumps and release or reduce tension. We use a combination of isolation techniques on problem areas along with long flowing and thoughtful movements. This is ideal if you wish to chilli out, reduce stress and tension, have problems with fluid retention or have headaches from stress this style of massage is for you. Leave floating on your feet and totally relaxed.
Massage for Cancer
Cancer can be a difficult disease to cope with. It can leave you feeling overwhelmed, worried and may exacerbate other smaller health problems. Much care and consideration is taken with a client who has cancer. This gentle, soothing and relaxing massage may help you to manage tension and sometimes the emotional rollercoaster you feel as though you are riding.
The simple power of touch can go a long way in this time most needed.

Michelle has been a complementary practitioner for over 10years. Originally from Australia, she trained at ACNT (Australian College of Natural Therapies). She practiced in Australia, Kenya and now Scotland.
As an experienced clinical practitioner she has also written for many forms of media and print publications. She has lectured for colleges, trained and educated practitioners, run seminars and training courses for a leading vitamin company.
Michelle now devotes her time to her clinic; practicing in general health and fertility issues. Although, she lives in Edinburgh with her young family her clients are drawn to her clinic from all over the UK.
