Yoga Classes
The hatha yoga I teach is influenced by Vanda Scaravelli’s approach to yoga.
This style of yoga approaches the same asanas (postures) as hatha yoga but with much more emphasis on how your individual body needs to approach such poses.
Time is taken to ‘undo’, so releasing physical and mental tension with particular focus on the breath and gravitiy before building on postures. Cost per class: £14.00 Or £44.00 for 4 weeks in advance.
I am a registered and insured practitioner for all aspects of my work and have over 20 years experience of bodywork as a Shiatsu Practitioner and 15 years as a Yoga Teacher and Doula.

Post Natal Yoga
Everyone who attends the pregnancy yoga class will be sent details of this six week block of Post Natal (recovery) Class.
Women bring their baby’s to this class and the focus is on the mother’s post natal recovery, pelvic floor, core muscles, shoulders and lower bck issues. The post natal period is up to 6 months for these group classes, women with older children may wish to attend a one to one session beyond 6 months if they did not get to attend a group session.

Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a traditional hands-on Japanese healing therapy. It is deeply relaxing and helps address both physical and emotional tension. Regular treatments can help prevent this build up of tension.
The philosophy underlying Shiatsu is that vital energy (Ki) flows throughout the body in a series of channels called meridians. For different reasons Ki can stop flowing smoothly and freely and this can result in a symptom.
As the quality of Ki changes following treatments the symptoms associated with a lack of flow will improve; some swiftly, some more gradually.
As a practitioner I will consider your state of health, the symptoms you are experiencing and depending on your constitution and general energy levels, will use a variety of techniques to improve your well-being.
These may include gentle holding, pressing with palms, thumbs, fingers, elbows, knees and feet on the meridians and, when appropriate, more dynamic rotations and stretches.
