Cataracts are the clouding of the clear lense of the eye which causes vision impairment and commonly affects ageing individuals. The symptoms of cataracts include clouded or blurred vision, poor vision at night, sensitivity to light and the appearance of colours as faded. Cataracts can be treated and removed with surgery. Preventative treatment methods include quitting smoking, nutritional therapy, homoeopath and reducing exposure to ultraviolet light.
