Hydrocephalus occurs when there is excessive amounts of cerebrospinal fluid in the cavities of the brain. Symptoms can include an increase in head size, seizures, headache, papilledema, double vision, vomiting, sleepiness, poor balance and coordination difficulty. Treatment is often surgical but in some mild cases, medication can be used to treat.
