Seasonal affective disorder is a depression which is linked to specific times and conditions in the year. This type of depression usually occurs over the winter months, affecting individuals each year and always around the same time. Sleepiness, weight gain, craving and eating more carbohydrates, depression, lethargy, sleepiness, social disjoint and heaviness are all signs of seasonal affective disorder. Treatment for seasonal affective disorder, can be exercise, therapy, medication, counselling or even colour therapy.
